Why do companies keep ripping us off Tesco in my case last year I had to cancel and re join as new price was sky high and again its that time of year I'm currently paying £46pm new price £64 pm yet when I go through the go compare its less still not the cheapest.

I go through this process every year on 4 different cars! lol

You have to understand that renewal quotes are automated, so sent out by a computer system! If you want a better/best price, you have to physically work for it. Although I have found recently with the ASN site sponsors on a modified car policy, their renewal rates are usually a decent effort. I did phone around, and came back to renew with my current company, as the saving of £5 wasn't substantial enough to warrant me swopping insurance companies.

I also find moneysupermarket better than gocompare for quotes, specifically for standard road cars though.

Hi,

Feel free to give us a try for insurance if you like. If you wanted to PM me your details I would be happy to arrange for our quotes team to get in touch.

Kind regards,
Dan.

Be grateful yours is 'only' £46pm... mine is £146pm :fearscream:
I get your point though, customer loyalty no longer exists and renewal prices are now worse than signing up as a new policy holder all over again.

I won't rub it in, only £14 per month here.

I drive an Audi A7 (V6 3.0l) although I don't think its entirely the car that bumps the price up... I live in a part of greater London that has already had 9 shootings this year (some how that doesn't make it into the main stream news) - which ties into drug and vehicle crime and I dread to think how many uninsured drivers there are around me. Also I think (based on your username) I am 2yrs younger than you and that may also play a factor.

Yea location doesnt help i guess and yea born 84 so if ur younger aswell is that ur car in ur pic next to ur username looks smart

I just spend a day or 2 playing one company off against the other.

Renewed mine with Chris Knott fully comp £55 for 10 months plus a deposit

Can't moan really as I had a accident last year and got 6 points.

Get online with the price comparison sites and then phone someone up like Knott and see what they can do. Flux I always find rubbish

well not doing too bad althogh it is time consuming rang tesco to remove me from the auto renewal and was asked why so when i told them about being cheaper on the comparsion site there priced matched it on the phone which was good but shouldnt of hiked it to start with also just got off phone with Adrian flux (Thank you Dan)and they have got a very competive quote for me but i still have the best of 3 weeks to shop around.
