Hi All, having some serious issues with the S3, it has previously had some work done in one of the receipts that came with it when I bought it for 'Turbo Wiring Fix'.

Looking at it there are several sections of wiring around the Recirc Valve that have been cut and electrical taped back together. I've taken a few photos below:

The wire in #1 (I think it goes to the crankcase sensor) if 'wiggled' will cause the car to almost cut out.

#1

Number 2 shows a large plug that won't sit properly within it's connection, we tried zip tying it in position as a temporary fix to see if things improved but it can't seem to hold it anymore.
#2

Is there anywhere I can get replacement section of loom second hand or new?

Also on a seperate note, would a seized turbo actuator sound like a blowing exhaust (or similar?).

Cheers all for the on-going help.

Best option is to cut & repair with new connector/s & wires, soldering/heatshrink is best & then some sealing tape, if you're not able too then we do repairs of this nature, depending on location.

Thanks @NHN , unfortunately I'm the opposite end of the country to you, I'll get the wiring repaired, but is there anyway to replace the larger plug (centre of image #2) as it seems to be damaged? (not seating correctly in it's connector).

Yeah that's quite a distance, you'll be able to resolve locally, I hope lol.

Cheers mate, hopefully.

Are you able to supply the plug from a loom if it comes to it?

Out of curiosity, new engine looms...do they cost the earth?

Just grab them from audi parts department, the part number is printed into the plastic connector somewhere.
