Open sky roof issue

I have noticed that my open sky roof doesn't open or close using the remote,the windows do both but not the roof any ideas as to why ?

By default it doesn't. It may be possible to code it to open/close by the remote but it depends on the year. Afaik my11 years onwards can't be coded.
My my10 will fully close by remote and also opens without retracting back.

Yes there are coding options for the roof, ideally needs vcds to play with to see what your car supports.

Carista obd2 can change it, done mine with it, it now closes when doing a full window closure, and changed the the alarm so it now chirps when switched on and off, it also checks for faults and throws up most codes just like vcds, and for about £45 quid all in, is a fair bit cheaper than buying a vcds for £260.

Ive tried many times on my MY10 S3 but cannot make the roof sky roof close. I posted here and Ross Tech some time back.
Seems like normal sunroof works but not glass roof.
It wil close etc if key is turned and held in door lock.
IF anyone has really got a glass sky roof to work from 2010 on i'm also interested to hear how?

Mine is a 59 plate my10 with panroof, as said before it closes and opens no problem. All coded with vcds

I bought Carista last month after I bought my 56 '07 model and I enabled panoramic roof closing from the remote, it did mean though that the lock button would have to be pressed down until the windows and roof had completely shut....
I ended up later buying VCDS as I had a number of more complex jobs to do (eg Bluetooth activation) and found a comfort closing function in VCDS that definitely wasn't there with the Carista App...
With the comfort function enabled the remote lock button is pressed until the doors lock and the windows/sunroof start moving, at which point the button can be released.
The windows/sunroof carry on closing until they are completely shut.
It's an incredibly handy thing to have , it defintely wasnt there with Carista.
I wish I'd bought VCDS earlier now..
I can't open the sunroof though remotely , perhaps I have an earlier convenience module?

I’ve got a 2005 A3 Sportback with panoramic roof and have been able to close the sunroof and windows to close on the hold of the lock button on fob but wanting to code it to open everything too... so far only opens the windows... also is there a way to code single press open & close to the switch in the car?
