Having spent a lovely weekend up at the Evo triangle making me fall in love with the s3 again, my front plate fell off and I had to drive around with out it on, I'm kinda liking not having it there, I know people have don't these full RS grills to the old s3 8p face, but does anyone know anyone that still does it? Or any place that may have started making them? Cheers

Unfortunately there isn't a single manufacturer who makes RS grills that fit the pre-facelift S3 8P annoyingly.. The best you can do, is to buy an RS6 grill and then hack it up to make it fit but this is very risky and has only been done by a handful of people.

Yeah I thought so :(
Know anyone I could pay to do it?

I'm afraid not buddy, there's only a couple of people who've done it and they haven't been online in a long time.

@S3_Jacko has done three of them but said has said that he'll do no more, plus he lives in Glasgow as well. So the best you can do is to ask him for tips/instructions on how to do it but that's it unfortunately.

This is the best I could find so far which isn't much to go on at all:

Almost 2 years since buying the car and starting my thread I've finally started getting itchy feet and got around to some modding!

I've been on the look out for months for an RS6 grill and a couple of weeks ago I finally managed to land one for a reasonable price from eBay!

So this weekend has been spent removing bumpers, separating grills and frames - hacking apart two perfectly good grills and then getting the RS6 grill to fit.

I have to say it's an absolute pig of a job - I almost shed a tear of joy come the end but I'm really pleased with the result!!

Next up I'm going straight to stage 2+ - it's all booked in for the 3rd October.

Bumper off - surprisingly straight forwards
