Can't post the link with using my phone, but there's a few toyosport universal intercooler kits on eBay, they seem cheap! Just wondered if anybody had used one of these? Before i go and order one!

They work well enough...

Down points being the piping isn't beaded and it's likely to pop off fairly regularly unless you bead it yourself. Also, with those hard pipe kits, the pipework often looks very untidy at the front and there is zero possibility of you keeping your fogs and side grills

Thanks mate, if that's the case I will just get the cooler on its own and order pipe work from elsewhere. I'm still undecided about retaining the fog lights.
Appriciate the advise.

Make sure it's a bar and plate intercooler. I think testing been done and they are more efficient than tube and fin

Personally wouldnt risk it.

Get a toyosports type b intercooler. I think they come 600x300x76.

Thanks! Scotty - I've sent them a message to see if it's bar and plate.

Tom - I'm not looking for crazy power and this size seems to be more than capable of doing the job, I will do more research though. Cheers

Looks bar and plate from the pics but I'd be more concerned if its a glued core...

Tube and fin if the right extrusion is very efficient... my AH v2 is tube and fin...

Its not about power, i had a black ebay intercooler on my S3 when i bought it and its was a cheapo glued fin one and its was complete *****. Just didnt work very well at all, high charge temps were robbing power.

The type B is a decent proven and cost effective cooler.

No point putting a crappy cooler on there.

All advise taken on board!
This is what I've ordered and it's listed as bar and plate, not sure how to tell if it's glued core?

I shall be ordering all my pipe work this weekend as well but I will stay away from those kits.

I now the type b is proven but it does seem like overkill for what I'm after. I could be wrong though.

That is exactly the core I run with my K300, AIT's aren't an issue what so ever...

Good you found that as well as they stopped doing that size core with 2.5" outlets for a while...

I run one of these on mine and works just fine. I've logged it on VCDS a few times and temps are kept low, I didn't have to cut my crash bar (although it does rub the radiator a little) and I kept my fogs.

I paid a local guy a few quid to get two 2.5" 90 degree pipes welded to it and got it all painted to keep it stealth looking.

A friend is also running the same intercooler on his hybrid turbo'd URS6

There are pics on my thread if you want a nosey.

Personally it looks a bit too small for K04 power and definitely too small of planning a hybrid

That's great bud thanks a lot! I will be sure to have a look.

Tuffty - I'm aiming for a reliable 270, Or as close to that as I can - so I will see how I get on with it. Cheers mate.
