Got a lot of help of one of the lads on E38, he has a B7 Avant with the same seats and he provided me with all the dimensions and information to make up the frame. Credit goes to him because all the info was spot on!

I never liked the interior anyway hahaha!

Twas lashing rain so needed something to cover the car so it wouldn't destroy the seats

Absolutely delighted with the seats, well worth the money! They sit very well with my interior. Got them all in within an hour as well. Roll on Dubshed next week..

really like the seats chap, they would go nicely in my old bus....

Awesome rolling shots Sean. So sweet.

No probs for the info.

You'll get a front DTM soon im sure. Patience is key haha.

Yes, ive heard some bad stuff about Fibre Glass bumpers too!

Yeah, my current one isn't too bad with the addition of the Cupra R splitter but it does look a bit plain from the front. I got a set of fibre glass S4 door blades from Poland and my god they are woeful! Not even near able to fit them, and the genuine ones go for big bucks. I'll probably have to stick to the S-Line ones for now.

now only 2 to be found in Germany, other one has sold this afternoon.

Literally went on just after your message to see them but they were big money and were both missing parts!

really like the seats chap, they would go nicely in my old bus....

Thanks man, they would go well in any Audi! Suit the interior very well!

Thats a bit of a downer to know that even fibre glass door blades are sh*te !

Again, do try 'hades' on here as I think he's got insider info on where to possibly locate these DTM bumpers haha.

Finally managed to get my carbon DTM spoiler on, with it being a replica and not an OEM one it doesn't fit 100% but still good enough, definitely better than the lip spoiler I had on it. Also when I was cleaning the interior and giving it a Hoover I noticed how low it was on the back, it was only because of the way the car is sitting the garden but you'd swear it was on bags!!

Been also tempted to sell the speedlines as I've had them for over 2 years and on 2 different cars but every time I give them a good clean I think twice about it. So I've been onto a few guys about getting them re-done, I've come up with this colour. I think it's an excellent combo and would look great with black. What you guys think?

Love the spoiler mate, remind me did it come in Carbon or did you dip it?

Think the colour choice for the wheels would really finish the motor off pal.

Thanks dude, I ended up just getting it wrapped for the moment. I'm eventually going to start doing the carbon weave on a lot of parts, seen the kits on the internet and they look tops!!

Agreed with all of the above. Stunning colour for the wheels.

I think so too, have gotten another few ideas in my head now and the wishlist keeps adding up!! :( not sure what to start with

Great idea!! I had plasti-dipped a set of wheels I had previously and they came out well, I find their colour selection is quite limited and the dark anthracite colour is quite difficult to achieve. Your's look extremely well in that picture though, any pictures of it on the car?

Cheers my man, black indicators for the rear or for the front?

Yeah it really does pay off to get a genuine part. It's not the worst, it still fits but not perfect. I had also recently bought some replica S4 door blades, nowhere near fitting them, have to be cut and re-shaped, absolute pain!! :(

I wouldn't alter the car too much, it looks good as it is

If you black out indicators, de-chrome, add black wheels the car will have the 'murdered look' never been keen on it to be honest,

Cheers pal, I really like the new colour so I think I'm gonna go with it, they are a dark antharcite not black. I'm not really a fan of the chrome on these but I know exactly what you mean, I wouldn't want to absolutely kill it but some minor changes I think are in order, need to start changing some bits or else you'll get bored :D

Nice one pal thanks. Really looking forward to getting them done, got quoted 200 euro to get them done, they have a few imperfections on them as well so it'll be nice to get them cleaned up! BBS badges are only around 15 euro on the bay as well.

Also, we had an absolute scorcher of weather over here in Ireland and when I went out to the car to open it with the fob I held the unlock button longer than intended and to my surprise didn't all four windows start to go down! I was absolutely chuffed :tearsofjoy: wasn't aware that I had that on the car, it came on my old MK5 GTI and was extremely handy - made my day! :D

Went and bought myself an OEM S2000 cone air filter there yesterday. I've heard some good reviews about them so I said I'd give it a try.

First I had to remove the entire air box as the filter is actually a lot bigger than I thought. Fairly handy to remove. Not mad on the colour of it too, it's a gamble though as they come in a few different colours but you don't know which one you get. Not bad for 35 euros.

It's a very snug fit, didn't haves jubilee clip big enough to tighten it to the MAF. It's fairly stuck where it is and won't move. Sounds decent, not as loud as I thought it would be and there's a decent bit of turbo noise when on boost. There's also a bit of blow off sound when you let off due to the DV+. Overall it's grand for the money. It gets quite hot though because it's beside the turbo so I'll look at making a custom heat shield to cool it down. It'll do until I look at maybe getting a proper CAI.

Picked up a few bits off eBay during the week. Red BBS centre caps and Silvertec indicator bulbs. Went and fitted the caps today, had to split the little Audi badge off the cap so it could sit flush on it. I'm leaving the wheels in for a refurb in a few weeks and getting them powder-coated, can't wait!

I'm going to be splitting the headlights in the next week or two, want to de-tango and de-chrome the front lights, need to get some paints sorted first but can't wait to do it, totally transforms the front of the car.

Picked up a set of OEM S-Line door in great condition but unfortunately they are in silver so I'll need to get them sprayed. Been after a set of S4 ones for awhile now but they can be difficult enough to get for decent money. I'll hold onto these for the moment until I find a set, might give spraying them a go myself and see how they turn out, not spending mad money to get someone else to do it.

So been toying with the idea of changing the rear lights on the B7 but all the LED kits that are out there a bit tack, I love the all cherry red ones that you see on some of them in the states so it got me thinking. I know some people have drilled out the amber lenses on the rear lights and made them all red. Thinking about doing it on mine, by the looks of it you just have to loosen the glue around the light casing as I can't see any screws. Anyone done this before?

I also threw on the door blades, actually doesn't look too bad against the rest of the silver on the car. I'm still going to colour code them though.

Picked up a set of BBS CH 18's that I'm using for winter wheels as the poor speedlines get destroyed with the bad weather!

b617bf00c63b21d08c9e0234adab7ce0.jpg

Lashed them on to see how they look and fit on the car, they are 225/40 so are a little wide for the arches I had to remove the front 10mm and replace them with the 20's that were on the back, sits very nice now seems to be a little lower but doesn't scrape or catch anywhere so happy days! I will be plasti dipping them in dark anthracite in the next few weeks and also gonna order some red BBS centre caps.

Once the car was on the flat I'd noticed that there actually was a little bit of clearance the in the arches so I'm gonna go and put on the 10mm spacers back on the front and the 20's on the back, should hopefully fit snug under the arch then. Also gave her a good scrub and it came up real nice!

Went ahead and split my headlights to de-tango and also spray the inner reflectors black. Been putting it off for a long time but I'm glad I went and done it. After a couple of hours graft and a load of cursing I finally got it finished.

Cheers fellas! Been putting it off for a long time so I said I'd pull the finger out and just get it done! Anyone who's looking to do it, I'd say just go for it!

i done mine as well on black car they look much better !

Yeah very happy I done it. Looks so much better than normal, wasn't the hardest thing to do either! The only problem I have now is on the passenger headlight, water is getting inside the headlight as it probably wasn't sealed fully so now I've to take the light out again and re-seal :(

looks great mate.

are you still using the S2000 air filter? does it fit straight onto the maf housing? was looking at them before.

Yep. Still using it!

Makes a good bit of sound and fits straight over the OEM MAF.

Only thing is its not a tight fit so you'd need a wide jubilee clip to seal it right. Lucky enough the way its worked with me is its stuck solid against the corner of my engine bay so there's no movement and its a snug fit. I was going to look into a Carbonio (£300) but went with this instead for €28, can't go wrong for that. Only thing is the colour, looks horrible hahah doesn't suit the inside of the bay.

great stuff thanks mate.

Just a quick observation, have you had to compress your intake pipe in order to make it fit? I might go down the silicone pipe route.

Yeah I had to release the clip to swing it around so it would fit better, doesn't help too much with oem one as its an awkward shape. I plan to get a silcone turbo intake pipe myself, which one were you looking at? Seen a few on eBay but they're not cheap!

I was thinking that because of the length of the s2000 filter you might get away with just getting a 90degree reducer going from 3" to 2.5"

Compared it against a similar one I seen from 034M online and it looks like a carbon copy. Even comes with the two clips. I'll update with photos & thoughts on it when it arrives. Should be here in 2-3 weeks hopefully.

No mate it's coming directly from China. No other charges or shipping costs, only cost me €38 which is very reasonable seeing as there's other ones online for over €100, quality can't be that much different. It's only silicone hosing really. Can't go wrong for the price.
