What have you done to your Audi A4 B7 today?

Treated her to a new set of pads and discs all round and dropped her a little bit more....only rolled her forward a little so not as low as she is after my little run out.

Untitled 2

A little touch n go when coming off the drive on to the road.....but I guesstimated it perfectly.

And some cheeky sod decided to get in the car whilst it was off the ground.....

He's covered in muck from head to toe as he's been under the car so looks like I'm in the dog house later when the Mrs see's the state of him!

Quality is brilliant and fitment is easy enough.....I found it easier with the bumper off and then I could drill through from above, this way I new all the bolts were in the same places on either side.

The only problem was getting the paint to stick as it's a funny plastic....but one of the guys I use for paint just dusted the plastic 2k primer in thin layers and the same with the black in 2k.

Picked the car up Monday so I have all the new car jobs to do,
The first week consisted of: repair armrest latch, fit private plates, Led sidelights, four tyres and a wash with a quick coat of wax this afternoon.
Forgot to fit the set of nut covers I picked up from work today. Not sure what the price for the Audi ones are but the Bentley ones are around £5.50 Inc vat.

I fitted my carbon fibre gear surround which I'd been waiting on from the states, arrived this morning so all complete now :yahoo:

Plasti-dip looks good mate, im very tempted to try it myself, keep us posted on how it holds up.

Killed it.
Had a small bump on Friday morning (smacked a Beemer at walking speed, my fault entirely), but it started and drove home OK on Friday night.
Got insurance company involved and it's to be taken to a repair shop tomorrow, but today for the first time since I've had it, it won't start - not even on a jump. Weird noises coming through the stereo (never heard them on Friday) so now I hope it's written off as to me, it's the start of alot of trouble.
Time for either an A5 or a Jag XFS……..

Those jags are lush
Keep us informed what the score is with it pal...what the problem was etc

I don't think they will write it off that quickly, insurance companies are coming under more pressure than ever now to fix cars wherever possible.

Compliments from audi germany.got my quattro gecko air refreshner in the post today, love it already ☺

Very nice, i am also the owner of a new Audi cab Last week

Well the pimping continues and I have finally got round to fitting the RS4 front grill front splitter modified the lower 2 grills and removed the horizontal bar as it looked pants with the mesh fitted bit of a job but I think it looks good and last but not least fitted the flat bottom wheel

Looks great mate!! Been thinking about the look with the Sline bumper.

Question on the flat bottom, is that the B8 Sline wheel or A3 Sline wheel?

That looks very well fella. Looks like it's got a high spec list as well.

Yes it had everthing possible when new the only thing missing is the bluetooth which I really miss having had it in all my other Audi's.

Not sure which model it was from but no later than 2011 as the wiring and plug changed after that so this was a plug and play replacement .

looking very nice gary, I see you also opted for the behind fog lamp grille method of affixing the mesh, I did think about that horizontal bar removal aswell but wasn't 100% what the end result would look like so held back to see if anyone else did it, now you have and its looks ok to be honest I may whip mine off now aswell.
looking good gary, do you also have the valcona lether trim option.

Yes a personal choice on the bar but I bought a second set of the lamp grills so i had a a get out if needed , a point to mention though is once you have done the mesh you need to to remove the retaining clips as you can't get the grills out with the mesh in place so I cut them off and used a small screw in the upper part to retain them if I need to access the fog lamps.

The leather is black nappa,

swapped lower control arm today ready for mot and to stop the knocking

Was it concent knocking as I have a intermittent on my front passenger side but I've had brake and suspension checked and nothing.also how much did it cost if you don't mind me asking and where you get your parts?

it was only knocking at low speed braking but this seems to have sorted the problem.

i got the parts from gsf and if you sighn up you get 40% off parts at weekends which is good and i use trw and leformader parts so for the lower control arm and stabalisation part it was only £77

Well the weather was awesome yesterday so it would have been rude not to do something on the Howdy.

Did a bit of de-chroming with some 4D carbon vinyl and fitted a poly Snub mount.

Looks very nice, did you do the grill and the window surrounds? I am currently looking for the rolls/sheets to do this (going for a titanium finish myself) what did you use if you don't mind me asking - roll or full sheet?

Snub mount make much difference?
