After 18 days in QC, she's on the move! Huzzah, still think I'm not getting it in time to go away at Easter that though

Might be pushing it for Easter. Mine is due the week before Easter, but yours is probably 7/8 days behind me from what I can see. Will depend how long it takes to get yours from the port and to the dealers.

Hi all, my order now appears on Your Audi but is currently only at 'Order Received' (stage 2). I only ordered it last week though! Build week currently showing as Wk 21 according to the dealer, so delivery in June I reckon. Dealer reckons they switch to MY2017 from Wk 20, so mine should be the new MY, although I'm not expecting anything to change spec wise.

Placed my order yesterday for a 3.0 Tdi Q Avant with a bunch of options and have been given a build week of first week of May.
I was was waiting for Audi Exclusive Paint but given up so have ordered Floret Silver.
My local dealer price matched Drivethedeal and I am very happy to give them the business as they have looked after me over the years.

Roll on June

It's due in the 19/3 apparently, it's whether the lease company can swing it round in 7 days?

Now at status 60 - Left the UK Port on the way to the dealer

Shouldn't be long now , maybe get it by the end of next week?

She is now on a boat and on her way here :grinning:

That definitely can't be right!! It takes 3 months from ordering to build date.
I ordered my car in 19 Feb and it's not getting built until 16 May!
I think your dealer has got his dates wrong their I'm afraid.

I asked if I could it have before the end of June and it was looking touch and go.
I suspect what they have done is modify an existing stock order.
I am just waiting for my order code so I can check on my Audi, the one they gave me didn't match the postcode.

The dealer might not be far wrong, looking at my dates:
Order placed - 18th Dec
Build start - 15th Feb
Collection from dealer - 18th Mar

Amending an existing order pushes it back that it was the same as just ordering new. I tried it with my local dealer.

The way I had this explained to me was the dealers can "spec amend" an existing build slot up to a certain point. So it is possible to "jump the queue".

yeah we tried doing that at my local dealership but the slightest amendment of an existing build pushed it back weeks and weeks. That's why I ended up just going for a new build.

Just added my order to My Audi and the order date shows as 4 Feb 2016 whereas I actually ordered on 10th March so it would appear I have picked up and modified a stock order. It must therefore be possible as my spec appears to be correct.
Presumably there comes a point where the order can no longer be modified.

I've got recent experience of this, my order was actually placed 3 weeks before I even spoke to the dealer so they do sometimes modify an existing order to your spec.

I tried to change my spec but was too late, it had gone past the point where changed could be made. A few weeks later the dealer did offer to order me another car to the spec I wanted which was very good of them as the original order had been built by then. The downside was going to a BW24 car so July delivery.

If the spec change to an existing order put it back weeks it must have been that particular option that pushed it back.

So what is the point at which you can no longer change the order? I'm thinking about seeing if I can delay mine for the black pack

I believe it's somewhere between 2 and 4 weeks before the build date that the order gets frozen and can't be amended. I don't know if it's possible to request a delay or not, worth asking though. What's your estimated build week?

How often does Audi update the tracking website does anyone know?

After 2 months at status 10 , I've moved to 20 (Preparation). The build week of 11th April is looking believable.

Yes I moved to stage 20 today and my build week is the same 11th April.

My current a4 is Scuba Blue and it looks good in the sun but time for a change for me so I have ordered Floret Silver.

Mines on stage 3 atm , no idea how to show the build week also!

Finally I've done it!

Log into Your Audi then follow click on this link:
https://www.audi.co.uk/myaudi-public-api/services/v1/orders

Scroll down to the bottom and it will tell you build week and date.

Mines is:
"buildWeek":"201620","firstDayOfBuildWeek":"2016-05-16T00:00:00+0100","orderSaleDate":"2016-01-31T00:00:00+0000"}]

Worringly even on there the interior I have ordered is wrong! Should I be worried? I've already brought it up with the dealer and they said don't worry.

Check the option codes at the bottom, they were all correct on mine although the interior trim was wrong higher up saying brushed aluminium. For example the code for piano black is 5TL, it's on my order at the bottom, you can get all the codes from the price list.

Heres the bottom part of mine

The translated options are your spec and cross reference to the price list codes.

"translatedOptions":["FK2","KS1","N7K","PCN","PCZ","PQD","PQI","PV3","PX2","QE1","UH2","VW6","WB3","WB4","WB7","WQV","1BQ","1XP","4A3","5TL","5ZC","6XL","9S8"],"buildWeek":"201615","firstDayOfBuildWeek":"2016-04-11T00:00:00+0100","orderSaleDate":"2016-02-04T00:00:00+0000"}}

any idea where i can find the meaning of the codes , no idea where to find it :(

I've seen several people say the options list is wrong. Mine has some bits missing. What does seem to be correct is the 'Translated Options' list. The dealer assures me their system shows the right options. I'll find out in a month.

You can find most of the codes in the A4 brochure.
