Managed to do some work on her a bit today. Blacked out chrome ring around grille and added a cupra lip

i reckon blacking out that surround makes the car look heaps sleeker!

Yes, it goes well with the colour, some bigger rims would look nice too, in black of course.

Porsche oil cap and water cap finishes off the bay nicely I think

Clean picture of the interior
which is now dirty again

Then it was time for a worthy mod fitting a FMIC


With all the info on this forum it was a breeze


it took me pretty much the whole of Saturday to get it the way I wanted it though!

Sorry I didn’t take any pictures of the whole process but this is what it looks like.

will just need to maybe center it a bit more!

After taking my time to get the OEM tip off here is a comparison

Then it was down to fitment all I can say it was a b@tch to fit damn.. Still need to trim more as the pipe kinks slightly.

How it looks currently

Also found a set of SEAT SPORT calipers from an IBIZA cupra
Extremely difficult to find as Seat left South Africa a few years ago


They need a bit of TLC but that's what makes it more awesome.. I love doing stuff like this

Oh yes managed to get a RNS replica head unit for a 8l also.
Pretty much plug and play and looks awesome, had to trim a bit but nothing crazy

Although I do prefer the two tone seats leather / suede (or whatever) compared to the full leather - do they all have that extra bit of adjustment for the bottom part of the seat?

I was admiring your engine bay and coolant bottle!! ha ha, mine is yellowing and yours looks pristine!

I noticed your washer jet bottle has a black cap, mine is blue but I prefer your black one. Did you change yours or has it always been black? Just wondering if its something I can do (without painting, before anyone suggests!).

very similar setup made 282wkw @ 1.9bar but stock displacement

Basically I have 2 maps
Daily map 1.6bar
Race map 2.0bar ..Car is mapped for 2.4 bar but not keen to run that high

You can run that boost as long as you have the supporting mods to go with it.
