Hi all.
Could anyone tell me if your glove box light switches on if you don't have Interior Light Package..
My car is not spec'd with it. The issue I have is it doesn't light up when opened.I have checked all the bulbs just in case you ask..lol..
Thanks....Paul:friends:

I don't have the ILP and when I open the glovebox the inside light comes on.

Have you checked sensor/ switch? I am just guessing but assume there's some sort of switch that turns the light on/ off.

Has anything been fitted that would have needed the glove box to be removed? It's an easily forgotten re-connect!

No ILP here, just been outside to have a look and as soon as I opened the glove box the light inside on the far left illuminated. (No keys in the ignition either btw).

Yes!! Good point jaypers...
Had the dealer fit front and rear sensors when I bought the car..They had to remove the glove box to fit the front parking sensor speaker...Cheers for that.I will be wiring the rear view mirror next week so will be removing glove box then and I will check the latch / switch...:friends:

I've got the ILP and the glovebox light doesn't work, is this a "feature" cos if it is it's cr@p.

Plus the passenger side footwell led isn't working. Not good on a 9 month old car.

Try checking the hinge switch it might have worked itself loose or as above posts... has the glove box been removed for any reason?
If you are not confident enough to check it yourself take it to your dealers and get them to sort it...:friends:

Out of interest does the A3 still come with a halogen bulb in the glove box, even with ILP?

Easily changed though it seems to an LED 501 fitting bulb :)

Any idea if the dealers would do this before collection of asked?
Gazjis..It really is easy to swap the bulb for an LED type..Try it if it doesn't light up first time just take LED out and turn it 180deg. and re fit....:friends:

I believe I'm right in saying the front indicator bulbs are also halogen on my car, which has the standard S-line Xenons.

@t8ups - do your bulbs trigger light failure messages on the DIS?

As above, @t8ups please let us know what your kits gives us, especially if we already have the ILP (on a saloon)

Thanks!

I have t8ups door warning and puddle lamp LED upgrade bulbs and can recommend them.

@t8ups any chance of a red puddle lamp bulb rather than white ? I'd be looking for 4.

With ILP, are the puddle lamps not already LED? (don't have my car yet)

Yes, the ILP already have LED puddle lamps, but these are quite frankly, pants and dim.

The link I provided in post #17 shows you the difference with the t8ups upgrade kit.

Ahh thanks I missed that link

Haha yep technically LED but very dim - my fridge light is brighter !!

The trips ones are muti LED 4 I think so they properly do behave as puddle lights and illuminate the ground beneath your door.

What do these offer over the ILP? Brighter bulb?

I quite like the option in the Mini ATM, where you can change the colour of the LED. Is this something you can offer?

Just makes them brighter, no colour changing option yet but working on it.

Can supply them in other colours if you wanted to get away from white?

Yes, I have them in stock, they are £8 per pair and £2.10 uk postage. That's to replace the White LED bulb, or do you mean for the red warning lights? If so I have them too.

Trups

Hi Trups - Sorry mate I've confused things (not difficult after the day I've had believe me) I'm looking for red footwell lights so the two under the dash and there's two under the front seats.

Hi.

I have them in red also, the rears rears are £8 and the fronts are £7, postage is £2.10.

PM if you want to order, they are in stock.

Thanks
Trups
