So today I went and bought this

61 plate (Nov 11) 3.0 TDI Quattro S Line with 1 owner from new

Has pan roof
Tech pack
Comfort pack

Just need the DVLA to pull their finger put and issue a new plate and V5 as the car went straight onto a private plate from new

Part ex'd my A3 and the A6 is having 4 new tyres of my choice, full service and MOT :)

Hopefully the DVLA won't keep me waiting too much longer!!

Already on the lookout for some bits for it and I suspect it will be mapped very shortly after I take delivery.......!!

Nice purchase. Just for reference. I posted my V5C for a reg change on a Wed, and it was done by Tuesday the following week. The letter didn't arrive until the wed, but just reg check your private reg online daily, and once the details are updated, you can stick your private reg on and drive/insure it! :)

Apparently it was sent off last week so I'm hopeful it will arrive back this week so I can collect it!!

Private reg isn't mine; it was what was on the car. Apparently its worth £50k!! - 77 EE......Nuts!

The DVLA have to issue a brand new plate as it went straight onto a private plate from new

Reminds me off an old guy I use to see in a clapped out Blue mk5 Escort with the reg T4, he has since upgraded to a Honda Civic 1.4i according to MyCarCheck. I wonder what that plate is worth?!

Apparently £50k.......the guy traded in the Audi for an i8. Well thats the story the garage is feeding me but I took that with a silo full of salt lol

DVLA have processed the plate!! Hopefully the garage will have the paperwork by Wednesday so I can collect ASAP!!

took my mates private plate off (what is now my car) and got another private plate free as it used to be on the car before he got it.... Result.

Took 5 mins online, took longer to swap the physical plates over :)

First mod was to remove the damaged window tints and replace with the sun shades like I had on the A3

Done a few VCDS tweaks

Next up is 4 new tyres and 4 wheel alignment as the steering wheel is slightly off
Won a complete set of genuine rubber mats
Ordered some LED interior bulbs and some shiny tyre valve caps
Also considering a private plate.....

I'm a private plate whore, all my cars have a private plate, nd I still have one on retention! lol

Some goodies have started to arrive

Complete set of genuine rubber mats. Picked them up from an Audi dealer for £40 delivered. Usually the fronts alone are £45!!

In short I updated the firmware on the MMI which means I can use a sim card in the car for data services and Google Maps and use my iPhone to make and receive calls. Prior to the update the car could only use one or the other but a number of owners complained to Audi who released the updated firmware for older cars; new cars come with this capability already installed

Where did you get the SD card from? My audi dealer won't sell it to me!!!
 
Is it a case of SD Card in and boot up? How long did it take..

Did you upgrade the maps too or are they the old ones, still?
 
Yep; put the SD card in, enter engineering mode and update. Took nearly an hour as I was going from a very old version

Didn't do the maps as I don't think it will have the new road near me that has just opened so will be waiting until later in the year

I will get someone loal to open the green screen to enable the phone options. Did you update your BOSE firmware and what was your original version?
 
Don't have Bose so can't comment on that. You can de-select it from the update process

My original firmware was P0485 or something like that
