I remember years ago whilst road testing a loaded artic (32 tons shows how long ago) and a d-ck in a 8L S3 was so focused on overtaking me in a 40 mph zone he didn't see the parked car on the other side of the road until he hit the brakes and front ended it.
Di-khead ! I didn't even bother to stop.

The remark was obviously made by a BMW driver/owner. Did make laugh tho' lol

'In my experiece, as many Corsa's, Punto's, Fiesta's and Yaris's fail to use indicators as BMW's and Audi's. The higher end cars just seem to bring out the jealousy in people in discussion forums.

It's similar to being cut off by as many normal cars as taxi's but people remember the taxi drivers quicker because they're easier to stereotype'

Quite the opposite in fact. Most ******* ******* drive BMW's now....

wow a long time after the lights hit red...a quick bike or car handy off the lights the other way could have been nasty.

You've always got to think that someone could be going through the lights at near enough the speed limit as soon as they hit green for them.

Had they been doing so in the video above that would have been incredibly nasty.

Although I don't approve of speed cameras (see the "My busted so bad" thread) we have red light cameras around here and I love them. Especially at night, you see some idiot running a red light and you get great satisfaction seeing the double flash from the strobe light as it photographs their plate entering and leaving the intersection. Everybody knows they're busted, it's like public shaming. Unlike speed cameras which do diddly squat about speeding, the red light cams have really cut down on such behaviour.

Early morning, rural road, damp conditions. 57 plate Mini Cooper decides to drive right up my chuff, egging me on......why?!! A couple of odd accelerations away, and he kept coming back. Took the moral high ground, slowed a bit and he obviously felt he was better and went speeding past, smell of thrashed engine smoke wafted in my cabin briefly, and just thought to myself 'what a ****'. Felt good not rising to it.......I have nothing to prove. My S3 could wipe the floor with him and I can clearly drive......he can't.

This is a daily occurence for me, and it's always trash cars, or BMW's...

Very wary of BMW's......probably because of the unmarked one that stopped me back in May for exceeding the speed limit. One speed awareness course later and a hopefully slightly wiser S3 owner.

In my area, the A/S3s vastly outnumber the BMWs - unfortunately.
White seems to be the colour of choice as well - unfortunately.

The standard of driving (A/S3) is also very poor - unfortunately.

Sadly most of the clips shown are what is normal practice on todays roads.

You have to 1, expect the unexpected (or should that be the expected) and 2, don't get wound up about it, keep calm, ranting wont do any one any good.

Still have to say that most of my "bad" experiences are with other Audi Drivers.

As soon as that hood is lowered, the amount of A/S3s that then want to under/over take me is unbelievable.
Had an Audi TT stuck to my boot at a roundabout the other day - think he wanted to show me how fast he could go around it.

Still wishing for that button that would remove the four rings from my car on occassions - I'm totally ashamed / embarrassed by other Audi Drivers driving at times.

the amount of idiot S3 / RS3 drivers around here want to try and prove something is getting out of control.... had a stupid c**t undertake me yesterday to get 1 place ahead, and in doing so nearly hit the ambulance (with its lights on) that I had slowed down to give room to.... but yeah.... your car is awesome fast....

and that's before I even get to the middle mangement "s-line" *******....

Any views on this dash cam or. could anyone recommend one? Also what happens if i leave it overnight on the 12v plug? will it drain the battery? Im sure this has been discussed bfore but just wanted some advice..

Like they are having to double check that yes it is actually an Audi who is letting them out of the side road.

Not sure this is an Audi thing.
I NEVER let any vehicles out of a side road regardless of what make / model of vehicle I'm in.

Common fad around my way at the moment is if you are on a main road and you want to turn right.
The car coming towards you on the main road will actually flash its lights at you - weird ?!
Then, if you haven't turned in front of it, the on-coming vehicle will actually stop on a main road and keep flashing its lights at you.

After 30 seconds of blankly staring at the on-coming driver who is now holding all the traffic up behind them, they eventually move on and drive on the roads as they should.

Most annoying.

Great thread! You all are very courteous compared to the States! Here in San Francisco/Bay Area, people are HORRID drivers and cut people off all the time and its just common. The best is the jerk that always goes 60 in the fast lane or people just cut you off without any warning/signal or just push their way into your lane.

When I rode my motorcycle, I'd always get the person going into my lane, no signal, and pushing me into the median.

I'll have to look at my dash cam recordings to see if I have any good examples.

I've also noticed a lot, but not all, of the people that feel the need to fit dash cam exaggerate how badly other drivers are behaving beside them. It's like they're looking for people to catch on their cam.
I won't tar everyone with the same brush here, but there's certainly a certain 'type' of driver uses them.

BYW, I know a dash cam has its potential uses if there's an accident but some people act like a traffic cop once they fit it.
