My cash offer was the same as my finance offer, so I went with the finance option. I got around 10% off my heavily specced s3 saloon.

Depending what you go for, sometimes you get a better discount on a finance offer, so go that way and they pay it off a few months down the line!

.....walk to your next nearest dealer then (preferably one that's on the carwow scheme which luckily for me mine was!)

All my local dealers are in the same group, I've ordered from Coventry anyway.

.....when you say they became slightly offensive what you really mean is they were completely butt-hurt because they knew ****** well they had no chance of competing. I had the exact thing with the dealer I test drove at, couldn't get anywhere near carwow prices!!

Yes indeed, I got just under 12% discount from Coventry which was around £1000 less than the local dealer. The train fare should be under £10 & I'll have a nice long drive back with the new car.

Thank you everyone for the responses, going to try that trick 'Simon L' and 'Bristle Hound' seeing as when I used CARWOW, my local Ewell dealership quoted back as well as Coventry which of cause was cheapest.
