I know we're alleged adults here, however the inner child always prevails & does anyone else have a substanial collect of lego? Be it an investment or for your kids etc.

Being nearly 30 i do get rather odd looks when shopping for it but hey ho, anyway i have a fair old amount both built & also still in unopened boxs!

Anyone else?

I know work colleagues who have collections of trainers and one with BMX's from years ago worth a fair bit,not heard of Lego but one other has Action Men

Ive got a lot of the big technic sets and ltd edition models, never been into the star wars stuff tho.

Will check that build link out now thanks :)

Lego will never go out of fashion and some of the older sets are still worth alot of money and only appreciating in value too.

I have a fair bit and my Son does too, not really for collecting but more for playing with.

I have a set of the Shell Ferarri cars that were available in two unopened sets, so Im hoping they will be worth some money in years to come :)

I doubt it though :(

Some of the old 80's pirate ship sets are worth upwards of £500. An orignal Death Star model (not re-released one) go for around a £1k now.

There was actually an article in the news a few weeks ago saying that over the last 10 years certain lego sets have been a better investment then gold!

My little girl is mad for the lego friends stuff.but still i find myself building it for her,oh and she has to have it all in the living room,no space in her room for it lil

loved Lego as a kid, always drooled over the computer version w/ unlimited bricks, but eventually got into proper 3D modelling instead.

Anyone like to post photos of their builds :)

My son is ten now but i have spent the last seven years of birthdays and xmas pressies being building lego and most was Star Wars but after spending three days building the Death Star last year i have officially called it a day.My brother buys broken sets of lego and rebuilds them to sell them for more money on ebay, he has more spare time than me.

I had some Lego growing up, but I was more into Meccano.
Most of that went into keeping my first BMW together.....!
Oldest Grandson loves it though, never ceases to amaze just how quick he will put the contents of a box together, and the silience you get.

can't beat building lego with the kids, so relaxed and chilled.

Lego rules

Audi should have a collection of their cars done in all colours

My missus was annoyed my son(he's 11) got so much Lego for Xmas! Claims he's a big boy now, Lego is for babies! Aaaaargh!! What does she know hey? When I have a spare hour with him, we're going to build some of it together! :)

Awesome @Sandra.......lol.
It's a work in progress. I'm building the engine just now Jack and it's so fiddly I need to take a 10 minute break for some strong coffee:) x

I have to walk away when my Grandson is building, I don't know how he manages some of the kits @Sandra.
He built a Star Wars figure last week and he dropped it on the way across the room to show me it, two mins later, you would never know there was a mishap...!

You build the engine as a unit on it's own in these, looks very cool :) the main tub chassis reminds me of an old Mclaren P1 jig I used to use for carbon door assembly lol

I build several of the bigger models each year (have built 20+ of the largest 40 models, mainly technic) and usually build, photograph and then sell on eBay and buy the next and have just finished this one...

This is awesome, with working pneumatics and biggest technic model to date and was built from new . Anyone on here want to swap for sets they have (or buy outside eBay)

If anyone is interested I'll also post pics of some of the other models I have built in the last few years
