Hi all,
I retrofitted xenon headlights a while back now using a kufatec wiring loom. Everything works fine with The head lights, however I now want to retrofit the self levelling function
Can someone help with what parts I need o complete this and if possible the part numbers?
Thanks

Try a pm to one of the site sponsors. They may be able to help you out.
@Ash187

It can be done however on the B8 the rear sensor sits on the wishbone bolt. When retrofitting you would need to either drop out the subframe and take half the wishbone apart to take out bolt or modify the bolt slightly to get it to sit in place after lowering the subframe.
Not a nice job to do! The rest of it isn't all that bad although requires half the car to be stripped down to run wires from headlights to control module under the steering wheel and the level sensors

Hi
Can anyone help with what parts numbers I need for the front and rear level sensors and the control module.
I have found someone stripping a 2012 s line and mine is a 2008. Just want to make sure they will work.

It depends on your suspension set up - you need to have a look on your data sticker for the code 1Bx (replace X with the relevant letter).

I'm not sure if a 2012 would work...Audi changed the design on later cars so only one sensor was needed but unfortunately you won't have the matching central electric module for that unit to work.

Let us know the suspension code :)

Thanks for your reply.
I've attached a copy of the sticker but also when I changed my xenons I have upgrade the convenience module to 8K0 907 063 D

Thanks

Ok so I get you needing the following:

Control Unit - 8K0907357B
Control Unit Housing - 8K0907366
Nut (For Above) - N01508210

Front Sensor - 8K0941285P
2x Nuts - N01118312
2x M5X10 Bolt - N10680801
1x M8X22 Bolt - N0195269

Rear Sensor - 8K0941309F
2x M5X10 Bolt - N10680801
1x Nuts - N01118312
1x M6X16 Bolt - N01474011

There is another nut and bolt used on the rear sensor but I believe this is the wishbone bolt itself which @Ash187 mentions. If not there already not 100% on what part number this is.

Obviously you'll need the harness from Kufatec as well unless you want to build your own!

Thanks for this info mate.
I'll check with the guy breaking the 2012 but pretty sure these part numbers won't match, will they??

More than likely not. Looking at the sensor and control units, the part numbers of both are either based on chassis number or build date. As the 2012 has start/stop technology and a 2008 doesn't the parts are different as there is a distinct part number for cars with start/stop.

I'd check eBay out and add EU into your location as there's plenty of bits on there and much cheaper from Germany.

I've just picked up all the parts to do the DAB retrofit to my MMI 2G system for £100 all out of Germany or Poland - even factoring in the shipping costs a UK seller of the same parts is almost double and the DAB tuner arrived in 48hrs by DPD!!!

This guy has said if the part numbers match he wants £80 for the sensors and control module.
The harness is about £90 from kufatec but if I can get the right part number for pins and connectors I may make a harness myself.

If you can get it all for £80 then that's a bargain!

Harness is a fairly hefty one to build yourself but doable.

Managed to pick up a control module with the right part number from above.
I have also been given a rear sensor for free but with part number 1T0 907 503 A with the date 18/02/12 on it.
Do you think this sensor will work with this module. Surely all the sensors are the same??

Unfortunately not, while the electronic part of the sensor itself may be the same, different models have different ways of linking up with the suspension. The part you have is for an A6 4F which I know has a different design to the B8 as my OH has one. The brand or design of the sensors could also be different to the control module and not able to talk to it.
