Afternoon All,

Just bought these...



To fit to this...



Just need some ideas/opinions of what colour would suit the car best?

Also, what sort of price should I be expecting to pay, to get the calipers, stripped, prepped & painted?
 
Red be my 1st choice :)
 
audi upgrades
Red was my initial thought, but not a bright red, more anodised red.

However, quite keen on yellow myself....

Decisions, decisions...

Be a trendsetter have them red with yellow round the edges :)
 
Hi GjrBartlett This is the guys I use top notch they do a good job .
ive got my calipers black gloss but that's just me at the mo may change but want to stay stealth Ive used their paint kits they blow the rest out the water, I have tried loads but these are the best so far for high gloss look like new 6 months on no brush marks . check this out it will confuse you even more . www.Brakecaliperspecialists.uk I was keeping it to myself but thought I would have to come clean lol :whistle2:

Gjr are these post clean up? Looks like the decals are worse for wear only. Good clean, new decals perhaps? Black on silver.
 
This thread always polarizes people eh. Then you imagine someone else's idea. Silver with yellow would look good too. I just had a look at Gas Monkeys suggestion. This looks the business. Expensive? Bit different to me saying perhaps just a scrub haha.

Yellowstuff , meh , dusty mothers .

What is the yellow going to go with , Redstuff gets my vote .

Back to topic , the calipers aren't Brembo pretty so don't highlight them with a bright or light colour , black hammerite smooth and renew decals .

Also paint it on disc hub centers and guards.

Thanks for all the replies...
At the minute, to potentially save some £, I'm tempted to give them a good clean up (What's the best product to use?), paint if required (best caliper paint?) & apply new S5 decals (Do I need the kit from Audi or just decals (widely available on eBay)).

Thoughts as always, are appreciated.
 
The smallest and cheapest Hammerite tin of paint will do it , I find 1 coat plenty .

Might still have some in the garage, from when I did my original calipers a while back.

Just need to decide on decal colour...

I knew you'd post eventually! The more I see your orange, the more I like it.

Was keen on anodized red, but the more I think about it, it's a lot of cash to be spending, so I either just clean them up, keep them black then fit new badges/decals, or respray them myself?

How much were the Caliper badges from Audi? If their ££, tempted to try decals first from eBay.
 
I couldn't resist much longer. Yeah the badges were ££, just shy of £50 for the pair I was gonna put s-line stickers on top, but it just didn't look right.

I think a dark grey, gunmetal/carbon would suit yours better.

Just not shiny gloss black, looks too standard in my opinion.
 
Just can't decide at the minute, in no rush to fit though, so will probably have a think over Christmas!

TBH, I'd probably describe your motor as more standard than mine! When are you booked in for that remap!!
 
Who needs a remap when you have a tuning box.

It's spot on mate, still need to decide which map and boost setting I like best tho. 1st world issues and all.

Got a couple of ideas, see what Santa brings
 
as above said - did my s line standard calipers in Hammerite gloss black paint - one coat was all that was needed - did disc surrounds as well and just put a flea bay audi sticker on - looks OK I think

Don't like it mate , 3 lots is too much Audi logo in one space .

Loose the outer wheel rim sticker ?

Update...

The Calipers are currently in with Paint Perfect in Lincoln, in the end I decided on....

Photos in early Jan, when I get them back!

EBC Redstuff Pads ordered this afternoon, just need to take the plunge on some new 345mm discs now, decisions decisions!
