You too! Safe journey!! If Audi Birmingham allow it you and your mate will have to jump in the RS4. You can help me count how many speeding points I acquire in a 30 minute drive, ha xx

There is a speed camera just down the road from Stratford Rd Audi heading back towards the M42, there is one just after you come off the M42 towards Stratford Rd Audi too just past the lights at Tesco.

You won't miss me tomorrow, I will be the one in the Trilby.

You might have a surprise coming as for sure yours will pull from way down in the rev range while you'll need to be pressing the loud pedal and waiting for that naturally aspirated RS4 motor to wake up, once it does mind it'll rev a tad more that your 2.0TDi :scared2: and then you'd better hang on...

As for the RS6: well that pulls from way down and has one of the most amazing, accelerator pedal mashing motors I've ever driven, it's just the single digit mpg that I find disappointing :sadlike: but then as it's always Audi kindly filling the tank :blush: it seems a shame not to. Just make sure you pull that DSG lever back TWICE to engage SPORT mode...:racer:

My 'test' route from Birmingham Audi is: toward Birmingham and at the 2nd island turn left onto the B4102 toward Earlswood; and then left at the Earlswood post office onto Cut Throat Lane toward Hockley Heath; and then left again onto the A3400 toward the M42; straight over the M42 and back to Birmingham Audi; seems like an interesting route with a fair bit of variety. Depending on time allowed I may deviate some but that'll do me.

Anyone know of anymore speed (SAFETY) cameras on this route? I guess there'll be some on the A3400.

OK, found some data: there appears to be FOUR Safety cameras between the M42 and Birmingham Audi and others as shown here:

My planned route.
Leave Strat Rd Audi, up to the island and turn back towards the M42, straight over and head towards Stratford. When you get to the M40 islands turn on the M40 north, stay in the left lane and follow onto the M42 north, off at the first exit and head back towards Strat Rd Audi. Nice mix of A roads and motorway.

Just for reference The fixed 4 cameras on the A34 Stratford Road were all empty earlier today, and afaik not had anything in for a while, the first one from the tescos island heading back towards Birmingham Audi even points at the sky after it was clinked about 18months back lol
Hockley and Earlswood have a van sometimes and M42 from M40 exit too Junction 3 is a good spot just watch for black or Silver 3 series BMW's and A6's

I notice there's a golf course nearby, I'm sure they wouldn't mind if I pull a few doughnuts around it.

Much appreciated. I'm just looking to have the oil temp on all menus. Why they only put it on the lap timer is beyond me!

It's bone dry and dull at 08.06, but that's just the weather, and forecast to stay the same all day...

Cleaned the car yesterday before the rain came - looking forward to today ! As Steve said, my 2.0 TDI is going to feel very underpowered on the way home after driving an RS4 :openmouth:

Does anyone know if we are all parking together ? Bringing my camera to get some pics, would be nice if all the cars are in one place

They do have quite a bit of parking space there so should all be parked together.

I'm three miles from the dealer and it's wet here. Not raining right now but the ground is sodden. Hopefully it'll dry out later though.

We need our NI number? How very strange.

  4. The driver must not have been involved in more than 1 accident in the last 3 years.
  5. The driver must have no medical problems which impact upon their ability to drive.
  6. Unless prior approval has been granted, the driver must not be employed in any of the occupations listed under restricted occupations above.
  7. Test drive duration must not exceed 24 hours unless Listers Group is in possession of either the borrower’s vehicle, an original driving licence or an original passport

    And

    That the driver of the vehicle does not have more than 6 penalty points on their licence.
