The latest UK October 2015 brochure has come out with some changes.

There is an OTR price increase from £39,955 to £40,795.

Satellite Navigation system – SD card-based is standard

Changes to options:-

5MB Carbon Inlays £750

WB4 Technology package featuring Audi Connect. Priced reduced to £1,445 from £1,795

PNU Not available as an option.

No mention of ceramic breaks or bucket seats and no indication from Build Weeks that it effects.

This is just me comparing the last brochure (July 2015) and October 2015 so there might be a few changes I’ve missed.
I asked my dealer last weeks if any option changes are due and he said no. So this might not have been communicated yet to the dealers.

Does that mean any cars ordered before this will now get SD nav for free. My car is BW 51, hopefully I get it

I'm sure that's how it works yes, but does that mean our prices also change or will they honour your price as ordered? (I need to do the math)

Also the Tech Pack PNQ (without connect) has changed from £1495 to £1145

the math is, mine "could" mean £500 more. time to see what the stealer says lol

with those carbon inlays (I doubt very much I can spec change now without taking a kick the proverbials) that will take the price £1250 more! but again, see what the stealer says.

Love how standard equipment goes up by addition of Sat Nav- which is also the the same as the previous option cost- basically, you have to buy it with that now!

Mine is being built 12/10 so will it include the above or just remain as I ordered it?!

TX.

well I'm gonna contact my dealership tomorrow to find out what is what on these changes - I can only suggest we all do just that tomorrow.

When I spoke to my dealer last week asking about any changes to spec or prices he said that he hadn't heard of any.
I guess that means that there hasn't been any note gone out to dealers as yet. So until Audi informs the dealers then no one knows.
I've emailed him again tonight to ask him what is happening with regards to the increase price.

Makes for very interesting reading as I teeter on the edge of committing!

I struggle to believe the dealers don't know about the spec change, it sounds like they are trying to hide the fact that they don't know how it affects existing orders.

Will be interested to hear how your conversations go woth your dealers, I'm calling mine tomorrow to book a longer test-drive and ask about these changes too.

Yes the price you got when you ordered will be honoured, unless you change any spec on your vehicle now and I can't see them putting this new spec on vehicles which were ordered at the old price. I was advised by my dealer on Monday to make any final changes before the 30th September as the base price for the RS was going up by £800 and I would have to pay the new price if I made any changes after that. Basically if you put a new order form in after the 30th, even for changing your address or something you will have to pay the new price which I think is a bit extreme really.

My build has started today so I don't think they'll add the nav, it would be a nice surprise if it has!

So my dealer told me that the spec and price change will not alter previously placed orders. If however you change your order you may then be subject to the increased price and non-optional sat nav.

Otherwise you will receive what you ordered, at the price you agreed.

When asked about future orders/changes, he said this policy would remain, but spec changes are likely to result in the new spec having to be applied and therefore the price increases equally.

Very interested to hear how this mirrors advice others have received?

ive opted to go in tomorrow to see my sales exec and discuss, simply because my BW is sooo close - ill see then.

I asked today if I could add the carbon inlays.

I was told that if I wanted to amend my spec I would lose the price protection and I would be hit with the £800 price increase on top of the £750 for carbon inlays.

It was also going to push out my BW from 46 to 04.

well that's my line of questioning to the dealer out the window tomorrow LOL.

I envy your "my BW is so close" monopole, my final test drive (and wife's first drive) is booked for three weeks time and then I'm signining up for one!!

Not going for anything too outlandish on spec but can't settle on a colour!!

It seems odd to me that they are forcing the spec change on previously allocated BW, rather than amending a pre-Oct chassis and leaving it as originally ordered??

Just seems like another way to squeeze a little more cash out of their customers to me, I can't see many people leaving the sat nav as standard because of the poor quality of it in a £40k car. So most people will end up spending yet another £1145 on the tech pack.

I won't be adding the each pack, but now worry about the quality issue you have raised!

I agree they are in it for the £££s but thought logic on getting cars to the customer beats delaying well into next year...

ref current customers awaiting their cars to be built, your order will not be affected by the October price/spec changes UNLESS you spec amend then the Oct changes also come into play.

@RYuill for info
