Hey there,

Last saturday I finally got my car remapped. At the end I opted for APR stage 2 tune for 95 oct. And I'm daaamn glad I did. nedless to say the car is MENTAL!

Havent really measured 0-100 km/h but it seems to reach it in 6.1 or so.. Is fast, but where it really shines is up in the rpm curve. After 4500 rpm it really comes alive! and wont stop pushing till redline, this makes the world of difference when coastin the roads. After the remap I took a 650 km trip back home, where it got to settle quite nicely. It ended up pulling harder as I reached bome town. I found myself in various ocations just grinning and couldnt be able to understand believe it was the same car.

My setup consists in two things:

- Exhaust: 3" decatted downpipe, center silencer on and backbox muffler delete.
- Tune

That's it.

Now some videos with real life results. Enjoy

A3 vs Leon mk3 stock

tiempo (record) 13:32.10

A3 vs Cadillac ATS 2.0T

13.92.40

Been waiting for a few videos! Unfortunately they appear to be set to private on YouTube so can't be played here..

also do tell how did u launch since our A3 1.8tfsi fwd doesnt come with launch control, did u used left foot braking tricks?

no technique really just floor it when the third ambar light goes on and launch progresively when green light is on. It was trial an error to see the sweet spot but yeah, launchibg is a nightmare.

Nice, I'm sure with some strategic weight reduction and better tires you can get closer to 12s or even in the 12s.

yes im sure I can do better, OEM tires dont help and I had a copilot in every run. So yeah, I can use some weight reduction hehehe

Are you running the Pirelli OEM tires? that's even more impressive knowing that you had an extra person in the car!

You're making me wanna take the plunge and go to my nearest APR shop!

go go go APR

hajahaha you wont regret it, as you have a downpipe it should yield the same results!
I will do it in due time, but you have really broken the ice and given hope to us 7s s-tronic people.

Continue doing what you doing and keep posting the progress ;)

Thanks mate! just trying to show how underated this engine is. I think is the best engine in its category.

Next mod. is my injen intake system. This should let me hold boost levels better and throw some extra HP.

Never posted before but I have to congratulate you bud.
13.3 is an insane time!
Just out of curiosity what power does your car make at the wheels?

Damn bro m really really impressed by getting good timings even with co-pilot, can touch 12s witout co-pilot...were u spinning a lot on first til 2nd gear?

actually it didn't spin that much but yeah a little i guess. Ill be installing a BFI dogmount insert (stage 2) to minimize wheelhop.

I think the tune really does what it says, dosifying torque in first and second to maximize acceleration. but in 3rd an onwards daaaamn pulls like a train.

140km/h is kindy less even for stock, i do more than 155+km/h on 400m drag but trap speed wud be 150km/h

as i said, didnt really saw the speed i was just looking to the front hahaha
Ur trap speed speed wud be more than 100mph as ur timing is better than mk7 vw Gti n most GTI r also in 97-102mph range on 400m drag race, wish i can get apr tune here as well.....btw did u find any good spark plugs or how bout S3/Golf R spark plugs?

nobofy answered my thread -_-'

hahaha so I dont know if I should change them.

Maybe that's why your time was so good. Cos you running stock plugs ... How's the fuel efficiency since you done the map?
Good question. Plain and simple MUCH BETTER.

never had seen 14.9 km/lt before. Now I did and wasnt driving slow at all 160-180 km/h

Jasso did you get a gfb yet?
I got mine, a big change in throttle response and it helps hold boost higher up
