Thoughts on this item? They have just launched this.

Piper Cross Induction Kit.

Product Description
Forge Motorsport has developed this turbo outlet muffler delete pipe for the 1.8 and 2.0 petrol turbo (TSI) (EA888 engine).

It has been designed with 3 points of contact to eliminate any possibility of resonation. This part will improve the sound of your turbo spooling and improve response due to its sleek single billet design that eliminates the restriction and turbulence caused by the OEM part.

This is a direct replacement for Part Number 06H 131 111.

yes i read that but no explanation where it fits ???

I dont understand the point in this?
Just a simple little mod, that increases turbo spool, and pick up,( smoother air flow),
Connected to the inlet manifold- replaces the OEM unit.30 min installation job.

i think it might fit between the turbo and the air inlet , so when the baffle is removed the turbo noise can be heard more !

Was just a guess ! Looks like the bit my revo intake joins on to

Compressor outlet. Not inlet. It smooths the turbo flow outwards.

A couple of weeks ago i bought one of these direct from Forge, it was the first one the line and they were extremely helpful as always. They supplied it complete with the Nomex hose. This unit deletes the leaky bayonet spring clip retained OEM hose and adopts the far better, IMO, band clamp secured option. I bought this to compliment my K04 upgraded turbo I have recently fitted. Here are some pics.

It is clear to me that this will improve the turbo efficiency. I would love to give you some feedback on the perceived improvement but alas my car is in dry dock back at our workshop still awaiting arrival of the Integrated Engineering cam cover and breather kit. None the less this latest bit of Forge kit is beautifully made and a welcome addition to my build.

Interesting, didn't receive the Hose with mine!? Would welcome this as part of the unit,
to do a proper job!

S1Pete, a little tip for your install when it arrives. The seals on the Forge silencer delete are a snug fit. You will need to use a light lubricant applied to the seals and the turbo silencer housing before fitting. This will ensure the seals don't become damaged.

Thanks, would a little Silicone lube be ok?

If you ask Forge nicely I'm sure they will endeavour to help. We had a flurry of calls to and from them to us with pics and dimensions going backwards and forwards until we isolated a suitable hose from their range.
Will pursue on Monday!
Cheers.

On Monday when I get back to the Workshop I'll check my emails to Forge, as I might have a part number for the Nomex hose. I might even call tomorrow as I have more work to do on my track car.
Brilliant, thanks,
I'll email them too,re request.
Currently have a 10% off voucher,if needed,
re my recent idea suggestions to them.

Different engine to the S1,hence your unit?

Fitted this at the weekend.
Easy to install, made a great difference.
Improved Throttle Response.
Rorty Undercurrent.
Faster Turbo Spool.
Works well together with my mk Hose/Pipercross Air Filter.
