Using it a lot these days! Once it's mapped I'll definitely be making these videos! Whenever bill is free to map it, I wanting more boosts and revs! Lol
 
Just make sure it doesn't join your other car in your garage :p
 
So as its raining today I wanted to see if the haldex is working properly. Wheelspin in 1st and 2nd with ESP on. More with it off! Something isn't right, it's only up to 10psi so shouldn't be doing that. Going to change the oil and filter once it stops raining and see if that helps. If not then maybe the pre charge pump isn't making enough pressure? Or the controller is crap. I'll try the pre charge first as its cheaper. Unless someone has a spare controller I can try out?

@badger5 you had me panicked for a minute then, I opened this post and that picture came up, i thought...nooooooo!!!!!!

I have a controller that allowed the 4wd to work, it just flags up an intermittent communications error. But physically the 4wd did work, weird.

Andrew might have a spare from when working on those valves.
 
Might need to ask my dearest @jojo if I can borrow his haldex controller he has lying around :) I'll try the fluid and filter change first.. Could be an easy fix. Never really goes that way though! It's odd though because it's intermittent, I need to scan the flipping thing, finish work at 2am so will do it at home.

Car feels super though. Mega responsive, it just wants to rev!! @badger5 is teasing me with this 6.5k limited :(

The only spare one I have is the blue one! looool
 
So a little update on how things are going. Yesterday I managed to change the oil and filter to some Nanodrive! Car has done over 1000 miles and feels great to drive. I even managed to change the ARB bushes as they looked pretty bad! Heres what they looked like:

Then i put some LED bulbs in my fogs as it then matches my headlights, no pictures sadly but it looks grrrreat!

Now for the Haldex.. I changed the oil and filter. Oil did look a little murky but nothing alarming. Test drive showed it was a little better but still spinds in 1st. Scanned it and showed

00526 – Brake Light Switch-F 27-10 – Implausible Signal – Intermittent
01155 – Clutch mechanical 00-04 – Intermittent

I did an output test with the wheels on the floor and couldnt really hear the Pre charge pump? Not too sure if im doing it right tbh. But im going to try the haldex controller first. There is a precharge pump on ebay for £40 so may even change it and see if thats causing the problem. It might be that its not supplying enough pressure to the clutches causing it to throw a mechanical fail code.

Next few weeks i shall get to the bottom of this!

If anyone has any more suggestions, fire away homeboys (and girls)!!

On a note.. I have an old (and probably knackered) pre charge pump. Decided to strip it and clean it. Was full of crap.. Just putting it back together and will try that! When doing an output test, will you hear the ore charge pump at all? I can't hear mine, only the ignition is on mind you
 
So I've had some work done to the car now. All dampers replaced for the same B8's, new rear cookbot tie arms, camber plates alignment. Ive got to say it feels much much better. The car feels much more planted than before and surprisingly much more comfy! Less crashy than before and more of a luxurious drive.

Haldex is also working now, replaced the faulty pre charge pump and works lovely now, nice to have! Credit to midland VW, they gave me a good price on it all and fitted it. I have no time nowadays since buying a house and working 13/7 literally has taken over my life again! Didn't fit the blue haldex that @jojo lent me, but will offer to buy it off him :p :)

Bluddy sub has stopped working!! Lol. Need to check it out, probably a loose Earth on the amps think. Just cba to strip it down it was a pita to do last time!
 
So I've solved the sub issue, the sub is gone! New one is needed but that can wait!

Today I wanted to sort out my scuttle panel, so I took it off and painted it in good old tuffty fashion!

Then I sorted Out the crappy hoses behind it with some new ones!

Then fitted it to the car with a test trial with the engine covers.

The main engine cover doesn't fit and needs some careful cutting. Also needs custom brackets so that it sits nicely. One job to do later!

The battery cover needs trimming with brackets made too. I'm hoping I can try and cover the filter with the old filter box, it won't sit OEM or even look like the OEM box but it'll be covered so that's all I'm after. Can't compete with tufftys level of OEM-ness because well it's a crime to even do so, his bay is seriously beautifully crafted! Mines a shed haha!

Few jobs to sort out before it goes back to bill until it's ready. Bring on more boosts!

Saying that, I was looking at the pics today and thought I'd try painting the chrome filter case black first. It'll look odd covering the filter case with the old filter box. (Did abit of photoshop yesterday) Maybe just the battery cover for looks really.

Initially I wanted the charge pipe silver again but looking at it now, I really like it black! Makes me wonder, paint the inlet manifold black too? What you reckon?
