Every cloud has a silver lining and all that.
If this saga ends up with you in a M3, then I think that you'll be pretty happy when you look back at it.

I'll be staying well clear of any BMW forums it has a real snobbish brand stigma and most owners are up their own ar5se thanks. Probably just need to quietly sign off now. My poor experience with Audi dealerships continues really felt let down with no compromising. If you don't mind the light headlining there is a cracking RS3 coming up for sale soon.....................thanks to everyone for their advice and help etc maybe I'll be back sometime and good luck to Dan I hope he has a better result than me.

Thanks Normanthedog! I think mines sorted dropping the car back on sat so for anyone that doesn't mind a new screen and a bit of paint my car will be available very soon! gutting I know but I need it to be right hope your bmw gives you the enjoyment your looking for mate

That's a classic! No one should laugh! Surprised the experience has not made you defect to another brand

I've only ever had vw/Audi since I started driving so changing to another brand is scary lol

Such a naive attitude!
The French and Japanese know how to build a car that is driving focussed, that engages, excites and has bags full of character.
I sometimes think that Audi could/should learn a bit about those elements, but that's not really what Audi's are about.
You are missing out.

Maybe, But I've had bad experiences with both. German cars haven't let me down as of yet. Each to their own.

Very happy with my Audi at the moment.
Not blinkered enough to think that there is nothing better out there though.
There is so much competition and so many good cars especially in the hot hatch/super hatch sector just now - the French, the Japanese and even the American's are producing the goods (or are just about to).

I can supply you a drain to put your money through mate if you interested?

Did you mean rs3? Audi are supplying the drain for my money as part of the deal but I get it put it in there gradually lol

Norman, did you consider accepting it and then punting it on for a small profit?

I did but don't need the hassle at the moment and a huge risk to find someone happy and able to pay £50k cash on a private sale. Given the waiting list it may have been a good move!

There lies the main problem as you can't own a car without registering it........would be nice to know who buys my car haven't even got my deposit back yet. Now can't decide on a colour for the M3 dark colours hide the beautiful roof and the signature blue is to in your face. Looking at white or silver.

Buy something unregistered then you know what youve got !

I was referring to the suggestion of selling the wrong RS3. For me to take it and sell it it would have to registered and then as you said above this would devalue it somewhat. Anyway Silverstone II M3 ordered for September delivery around 15% discount too so happy with that. BMW seemed to be more efficient and polite in dealing with orders and build times but I guess the proof will be in the pudding! Anyone bought a Daytona RS3 from a Southwest Audi Dealer yet? I know how much I was going to be paying would be interesting to know how much extra they made on the car.

Hi Norman,

I am in the same mindset as yourself at the moment regarding Audi. Delayed release then ridiculous lead times isn't good enough. Have looked into the facelift A45 and have been given a guaranteed Nov delivery if I choose that route. With that in mind would love to hear the details on the M3 deal. Any chance of a PM fella?

Hi Dan not sure if you are asking me but if so yes. M3 ordered the beginning of this week due mid September. Local dealer too which is a bonus. Pretty happy really not sure where I am going wrong with Audi Dealerships :frown new:

Norman, What color did you order?

Silverstone 2, it's a signature colour and understated which I prefer but with the 'black' wheels and carbon roof looks quite smart too!
