does anyone know the right tyre pressures for 19" wheels? now have 235/35/19 tyres

42 psi front 39 psi back unless heavily loaded.

42 psi front 39 psi back unless heavily loaded.

Feeling like a ****, I've been running 38/35...I thought 42/39 was for fully laden since they'd need more air to push against the extra load?

38/35 for 3 people and small amount of luggage.
42/42 for 5 people and a fair amount of luggage.

That's weird - my tyre pressure plaque is definitely different! Mine's a 3 door 2015 S3..?

Ah mines a Sportback - makes sense for them to be different I guess.

My car came with 18s and the original sticker made no mention of tyre pressure for 19s so I ordered up replacement stickers using the reg number for a Sportback that shipped from the factory with 19s and just stuck the sticker over my original one.

The placard is a minimum according to Audi here.

42 front and 39 rear when unladen and cold tyres. - on the placard for the Sedan in AU

46 all round if loaded with full car.

That is for 19's Conti 5P

I'm running 42 F and 40 R on mine.

Going to reduce my fronts to 36psi, it's been suggested that it will help with my traction issues - certainly worth a try.

Rob, I would leave it at 38 psi minimum for fronts on sedan/saloon with 19".....apparently reducing pressure does not help traction from reports that I have read in reference to snow traction and can cause premature wear/safety concerns. Just my opinion.

Always open for advice mate so no worries.

Mines a Sportback and my traction issues are pulling away from standstill on dry roads. Chap in a garage today suggested lowering it 4psi but was thinking 2psi for starters.

Well I've been having a nightmare with tyres lately (see my thread under the 8v section). I used to run my Continentals at 38-35 because I couldn't read my door plaque lol. Comfy as **** but used to rub the outsides a little bit so probably could have done with 39 or 40 and 36 or 37. I've just had Eagle f1 asymmetric 2s fitted and ignoring pressure drops, the mpg has gone mental so been playing about. Last night tried 42-39 and after 35 miles it was 44-40 which felt like the car was running on solid bike wheels. Dropped it to 41-38 on arrival and will do some more driving over the weekend. It's booked in at Audi on Monday. Fairly sure they took a chunk out my rim which I only noticed last night too! I imagine 40-37 is about right.
