New 2015 RS3!!!

I want to replace the front chrome grille Audi badge with a black one can anyone recommend the best place to buy this please and are they snap on?
 
The pictures above of Daytona and black pack look fantastic .... And wow the black alloys really set it off too.
 
Finally had a test drive At Bristol Audi they got a blue one with dynamic plus package. Unfortunately was rush hour traffic, not my schedule test drive but friend called to say it was available if I wanted. Anyway I have a 64 plate S3 manual, my 1st car as well. So not much to really compare it to. First impressions looks more aggressive then the S3 from the outside, they could have done more but think they have done enough. I think with the right colour, back pack, black wheels, rep calipers & privacy glass it will look the part. So moving inside things I noticed over my S3 that I liked. Doorhandles have changed, Black diles instead of grey, there is a option for a clock at last on the small screen behind the steering wheel, also this demo had the tech pack with connect. So could be why but the main pop up was obviously of better resolution but also the small screen as well had a better resolution & upgraded graphics & menus. Could be a tech pack thing I'm not sure as I don't have it. Ok start up & the sound from the car is just amazing so much more depth to it. Got comfortable in the super sport seats a definite upgrade from the standard seats a lot more supportive on the sides. Felt a lot more planted in the car less sliding around on turns. So set off & that S Tronic box is a thing of beauty. So much smoother than manual, went through the gears effortlessly. The sound on full frontal up shifts just put a smile on my face every time. Something my S3 is missing is that reassuring sound coming from the back end. This car definitely has it pops & bangs for days. Switching between dynamic & comfort pretty much toned it right down, good for situations where you want to be a bit more discreet I guess. Unfortunately was rush hour traffic could not really put my foot down that much. But from the round journey I did about 1 hour 20 minutes. I am convince this is a definite upgrade over my S3. S Tronic box could be playing a big part in that think, as I'm coming from a manual. But that sound is amazing can't wait for mine to arrive. I have a longer test drive at a more reasonable time Friday so will report back after that one. But first initial thoughts are good what a car. Only negative I have to say about the car is the steering felt really light only had it in dynamic mode. But was not reassuring in that turns at all, maybe something I have to get use to, but that 1st full throttle turn I almost went off the road. Where I was thinking it would have had a bit more weight to it like my S3

Good to hear feedback from a fellow Manual S3 driver! I'm in the same boat but haven't driven one yet. I've got my name down on one of the first to arrive in Aus, so no test drives available.

Question.... In our S3's, 'dynamic' mode on the steering is hideously overweight - are you saying that dynamic steering on the RS3 is now the one to chose?

I only have my S3 steering to go by as that's been my only ever car. But the steering in the RS3 is a lot lighter almost like you're driving around in comfort mood, when in dynamic. Dealer said it was progressive steering I think so at speed it would feel more weighed but I'm sure I was travelling at speed. It only felt like this to me when travelling at speed like I never really had much control. I have a next treat drive Friday that's not going to be in rush hour so will find out for sure then. A friend of mine that work at citron had a quick go as well & said the same thing about the steering. I'm not sure it's a bad or good thing yet maybe it just takes some getting use to

Why shouldn't they? They are both fast AWD hatch backs.
Just because the RS3 has more power and costs £10k more doesn't automatically place it in a better class.
The Golf R has a very good chasis, suspension and steering set up which makes up for it being lacking in some areas. The fact that it is compared is testament to the job VW have done with the car. If the R400 has similar traits I expect it will be the best at the RS3 level, until then the R seems to be comparable.

Drove a mates mapped golf r a couple of days back, around 360bhp, was very impressed !

Sorry but the whole black on black stealth look just doesn't work on the RS3, IMHO.
 
Test drove this RS3 today OMG! This Car is insane! and starting to like the Nardo Grey as well. I Will be back to place my order very soon....pity it's a 10-12mth waiting list though

So happy I changed my order to all black. I think the stealth look on this car is stunning and menacing.

Looking forward to seeing my stealth-mobile too. I like that it's understated compared to some of the louder/unusual colours available.

Yup! That's what my dealership in Stirling, Scotland advised me even my trade-in will be a guesstimate due to the length of the delivery time...but hey ho, this will keep the residuals high I suppose

Hopefully I will be able to bag some kinda discount
 
Drove a RS3 at an Audi Sport Showcase, I thought:
Sounds were -Yeah
Steering definately better, handling more planted, but not as quick as I would have expected in comparison to my S3. I suspect it is because the RS3 is new with only a few miles on it and My S3 has 14K and it has been noticable that it feels faster now than when new.
I was also impressed with the ride, but would want to try one with mag ride.
Do I think it's worth the premium over the S3 - not really; would this stop me buying one - no.

Also drove the RS6 - I could really want one of those.

Where was that Nardo RS3 you test drove? I'm also from Fife and looking for one, the closest to me was the black one in Dundee. I've ordered Nardo and have only seen it in pictures.
