Did watch videos last night and can remove the hub unit from the car without specialist tools but would still need a press to remove the wheel hub from the bearing and into the new bearing

Servicing wheel bearing unit (only possible on four-wheel drive vehicles)
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t Thrust plate -VW 401-
t Thrust plate -VW 402-
t Press tool -VW 407-
t Press tool -VW 412-
t Drift sleeve -40-20-
t Press tool -VW 473-
t Splitter 3 -Kukko 17/2-
t Assembly tool -T40089/2-
l Wheel bearing unit removed

Pressing wheel hub out of wheel bearing
Pressing inner bearing race off wheel hub
– Apply splitter between inner bearing race -1- and deflector ring -2-, and tighten spindle.
Use commercially available splitter, e.g. Kukko 17/2.
The deflector ring becomes deformed in this process and must then be renewed.
– Press inner wheel bearing race off wheel hub.
Renewing deflector ring for wheel bearing
– Carefully prise off old deflector ring -1- using a screwdriver.
– Fit new deflector ring on wheel hub.
– Apply special tools as shown in illustration.

5 - Thrust plate -VW 401-
– Press on deflector ring as far as radius on wheel hub using assembly tool -T40089/2- as illustrated.
The deflector ring must be pressed on until it is seated against the radius on the wheel hub.
Pressing wheel hub into wheel bearing
– Apply the special tools as shown.
1 - Press tool -VW 412-
2 - Thrust plate -VW 402-
3 - Wheel hub
4 - Ball bearing
5 - Thrust plate -VW 401-
The machined surface of the wheel bearing outer race faces downwards.
Make sure no dirt gets between thrust plate -VW 401--5- and ball bearing -4- when pressing in the hub or when the parts are placed on a workbench, etc.
– Install wheel bearing unit
→ Chapter.
