Recently had to call Audi UK to have a moan about my local dealership (another story) but basically they failed to do what they said they would do and then failed to call me back when they said they would! Anyway, I've just had a call about the problem from their main sales manager and it will be sorted on Monday.

As way of an apology they are only giving me an R8 for the day :jump::jump::jump:

Which dealer is that? Betting it's an inch cape group??

They did a similar thing for me :kissmyrings:

I've driven an R8 around Silverstone for ten laps and it's such a fun, easy car to drive. 146mph in the WET WET and it felt like it was glued to the track! Have fun!!

What was wrong!? I will be making this complaint :audibash::D

Yeah please share, would love to drive an R8 on the road!

Yep Inchcape :) Did they fill the tank as well??? No good @ 13mpg if it's empty on collection lol.
Yeah mine came with an empty tank, I did refill it a stupid amount of times (it has massive tank too), mind I did have it for three days..

Only negative is how dated the interior / mmi is.. It doesn't even take a full post code! But over all experience of driving the car more than makes up for that. Oh and be prepared for people to be staring at you all the time

Aren't you both Cheshire oaks audi @S32B @alijnclarke ?

I always find Inchcape dealers go out of the way when there's been an issue regardless of the brand their representing. I was given a car for 3 weeks when my car was delayed from inchcape bolton.

Inchcape seem to get a lot of good press on here. My dealership are Macclesfield, and I can echo the plaudits.

Epic !! When are you having it - also iron man roadster or coupe ?

Mine was Macclesfield, but getting the R8 was about the only decent thing!

Mine was a black V8 hard top version.

Ps be sure to keep it in sport mode ;)

Wow, what a result, please be careful........................

Haha that dealership has a good complaints policy..

"Treat em like **** and if they complain give em an R8 for the day"

I can see that being challenged one day ... "But he has an R8!!!"...."then give him an A3"

:audibash:

Well had the R8 today with a full tank of fuel, managed to clock around 150 mile before I took it back :p Big thanks to Les at Cheshire Oaks Audi for sorting it out :)

The sound is amazing and it looks stunning. I had the stronic and TBH I'm glad I didn't go for it in the S3, I know it's probably different from car to car but at times I felt bored!!! I had a play with the paddles and yes it's good but not as good as a good old fashioned clutch and gear stick.
I'm also undecided as if I like the way it revs as it kicks down a gear when slowing down in sports mode...yes it sounds cool, but in town it turned a few heads and I couldn't help but think people were looking and thinking "Look at that tw*t showing off" lol :D

Anyway here are a few pictures:

PS: They also cleaned my car whilst they had it and did a pretty good job :)

Fantastic, I bet you had a blast!! :)

Lovely car, although TBH I think the wheels are ****** awful ;)

Nice. Agree about the wheels....look very basic. Did you get many looks/comments?

in the R8 it's not actually the s-tronic which is why it feels sluggish and not very responsive! The new R8 on the other hand does have a proper s-tronic.

Glad you enjoyed it tho! I love the intake sound from the engine breathing behind you

Great.......I have taken one out on a track day (see profile pic)and the R8 really does stick to the ground,

But in a straight line, on paper at least, the S3 is as quick as the standard R8 V8... ;)

Yeah I did get a few lol. One street I went down was only narrow with tall buildings either side, off from the lights sharply up to 30 with sports mode on sounded  that turned a few heads :D

I did on a vip audi day out. Awesome. Drove an r8 spyder v10 for 1.5 hours without salesperson, but didn't get a chance to test it properly as I was driving on public roads and had son in the car

Macclesfield Audi.....they absolutely suck !
