Painted my grill black tonight

How many coats was it pal, I'm gonna do this on my S3 8p looks well and certainly cheaper than a new grill.

Did 4 coats. Seems to be standing up well so far!

Wrapping looks really professional did you take it apart to do it? 2 things though...ashtray cover going the other direction, would annoy me so so much. And the gear knob...is not my cup of tea but each to their own.

I did took it apart, it was not easy cuz all central console needs to come of. My first time doing it so I missed ashtray direction

Did my grill and fog grills, interior chrome sections. Wish j did the splitter now while the bumper was off. Need to do the rear spitter, and the chrome around the gear surround.

No need to take the front splitter off, just masked it up and did it in situ...
Been thinking about the rear splitter to, so would love to see pics if you do...

Just did my splitter but as its not a sline hard to mask up initially missed the edges! Will get pics up tomorrow

I just cleaned and sprayed straight on.

Word of warning,mine has all peeled off in places. Probably bad preparation!

Does the paint not just peel off the chrome especially if power washed???

Clean and prep the chrome surface properly, and lay down enough coats and it shouldn't come off, even with a power wash, unless you specifically try to remove it with the power wash.
Before I had mine professionally sprayed, I had it plastidipped for ages with no sign of peeling off.

So I did mine...and stone chips have taken bits of it out...going to have to redo it with more coats next time when I get a chance

How do you drive with the fromt so low? Mine rubs and about an inch higher.

Looks really amazing. What are the wheels? Have you gor lovered springs or coilovers? What brand?
