Well, I have gone and done it, I've just bought my first Audi! I've wanted one for so long so I decided to bite the bullet and go for it. I spent way more on the extras than I anticipated. I must have changed my order at least 4 times, much to the annoyance of the dealaship. To be fair they were brilliant with me and I can't recommend them enough - Audi Cardiff.

So what have I bought, A3 S-Line, 2.0L TDCi (150), 18" 10 spoke design titanium matt alloy wheel, Audi Sound System, Biathlon cloth/pearl nappa leather, Comfort pack with parking system plus, Cruise control, Deletion of engine designation, Electric adjustable/heated/folding door mirrors, Hill hold assist, Light and rain sensor pack, Light and rain sensor pack with auto dimming rear view mirror, Metallic - Mythos black paint, Parking system plus - front + rear, Privacy glass, Technology pack.

I could have gone on forever with the extras, I keep thinking about the internal lighting pack but hay ho, I have gone well over my budget as it is!

I should have the build week emailed to me on Monday. SUPER EXCITED!

This forum looks great, I hope to learn as much as possible for all you knowledgeable people.

Thanks mate! I've decided not to go for the interior lighting pack, its getting stupid adding all these extras. I think it will be nice as it is.

Quick question, do you think it's worth changing things to add the lighting pack. All I can see that I would really like is the cup holder led's. Personally I don't think it's worth me ******* everyone off by changing things again. I've added way too much as it is!
 
I definately wouldn't worry about pi---ng anyone off, it's really common to change things and they expect it. You need to get it right after all. I wasn't personally bothered about the interior lights as don't think they offer that much. in hindsight would and should have ordered the auto folding mirrors and mono pur and maybe the LED head lights, but have the important options I needed and am sure it will be nice. My wait has been okay really, to the point where I am pretty relaxed about it, but will probably get excited the week before.

I just don't think its worth it. I just need to draw a line under it now. I'm really not bothered buy the interior lights. It's time to get excited.

I have at lease 2 months to wait but I'm sure it will be worth it!

Have you got Cruise control or Adaptive Cruise Control?? ACC is great

Can anyone confirm if without the interior light pack you don't get a glove box light ?? I think this is worth knowing as it could influence your choice whether or not to go with the ILP. My mate has an A5 cab with was 30+k used and it doesn't have one which is criminal so even if you don't need the cup holder lights, etc you may want a glove box light.

Tbh mate, I can't justify £175 for a glove box light. I never open it anyway! Thanks for the info though.
 
You do get a glovebox light as standard. The ILP replaces all bulbs except the glovebox one (weird) with LEDs and adds foot well, puddle and cup holder lights (maybe more, can't remember)

Thanks for all the info guys. It puts me more at ease.

I'm guessing I can change the lights myself to LEDs or is it a little more difficult than that?
