Well she managed 600 + miles on a round trip to Wales without a hicup :) the cruise control was awesome threw all the average speed traps

Now I've done just over a thousand miles Init I'm going to do another oil change as not sure on its history and not a fan of engine flushs what do people recommend Qauntum 5w30 long life 3 or 5w40 platnium

deffo the Quantum 5w-30 long life 3, although i don't believe in long life servicing, 8,000 max for me before oil change :)
i normaly do it every 3-5000 as filter and plug costs me £6 and get the oil free so silly not to :)

yeah why not and after i posted that i realised at the annual mileage i do right now (around 4-5k) it gets done once a year at MOT time

my Corolla (had before the A3) that was done every 8k....

Right today I started doing some more bits to this
*fit my new h&r lowering springs
*set tracking
*clean and lubricate the brakes as previous mechanic never copper slipped edges up
*bleed brakes again as not sure if there's a tiny bit of air somewhere
*change the oil and filter

So stuck it on the ramp at work and dropped the oil out

So then I started fitting the springs leaving the oil to drain

So started on the backs as they they are the easiest

Then started on the fronts which went down hill from there
As I'm doing the clutch very soon I chose the complety strip the front suspention so I can lubricate it etc so will come apart a lot quicker next time and I'm sort of glad I did as

*all 6 bottom ball joint bolts just sheared straight off so got 2 new ones sat there to fit
*its had a new n/s drive shaft recently and someone looks like they out a how tube of lock tight on the drive shaft bolt so that was a pain
*and one of the top mount to body bolts just spun so hat to cut that off so replacement sat there ready to fit

So was hoping to have it done today but will have to finish tomorrow morning
I also order 2 new track rods ends just in case
Will get some more pics tomorrow as this is how I left it

I switched the lights off before I left

It's a little bit lower but not really noticeable think I need 18 inch wheels to fill the holes lol
Haven't lost the ride which I was worried about as had cheap springs on previous cars and there were awfull but these are factory feel :)

Here are my bottom ball joints that all 3 bolts just sheared straight off,
So I ended up with new springs all round, new bottom swivel/ball joints, new o/s/f complete top mount including bearing and new bearing in the n/s/f top mount. Which are all o.e from euro car parts

I went to do the tracking and it was bang on so didn't need to touch that :)

The control unit only seems to of appeared after fitting cruise control all codes shown when I cleAred came straight back

Thanks in advance

Expensive but it can be worth it if you need to use it as you won't have to pay anyone to do diagnostics.

Work has one just Easyer to have my own and loads of my m8s have vag stuff so can easyly make the money back + more which means more money towards my track project
