Hi guys and gals.
I have a little shopping list of things id like for my A3, and what I was wondering was where is the best place to buy second hand parts from.
Are the prices on Ebay for bits like S-Line bumpers inflated because they're on the bay or are they a realistic reflection of what I should be pre paired to pay from a specialist breakers?
I do favour breakers due to building a rapour with face to face business and you can't beat a nosey round to see what you can find.
Does anyone know any reliable Audi breakers??
Thanks in advance

Breakers will sometimes sell bits cheaper if you go direct , cuts out E-bay / paypal fees etc .

That's why i always try to see the part in the flesh. Nearly had a scrap with my local scrapyard, was looking for something for my brothers a4 and I asked to look in a Passat, wasn't happy that I told him parts from that would fit

My local one is useless, when I was searching for bits for my a3 I found a bonnet listed on eBay from them so whent and looked at and when he went and fetched it off the pile of panels that where sat in a puddle and was fit for scrap just because that can't store them correctly and he listed it on eBay so some mug would buy off Ebay not knowing and have some knackered bonnet arrive, so would defonatly go look at any bit your buying if from a breakers yard as some time pride in the bits and some can't give a rats ****

I thought there would have been a few recommended breakers that people had used and have found helpful. Surprised nobody has found a good specialist breaker by now.

Try to see what you are buying if possible. I bought a bumper for our red Golf Gti that was described as immaculate on EBay and would not need repainting. When it arrived it was scratched and paint was peeling around the vents. Also cracked along the bottom.
Then there was the nightmare of sending it back and getting a refund.
Take care!

Send me your list. I'm breaking a 56 plate A3 S line Sportback. And I've got 12 plate A3 Sportback Black edition/s3 parts too. Although I've sold all front end bits apart from drivers side wing. Sold S line leather seats. But everything else is available.

I've got a low mileage (51k) 3dr 55 plate 2.0tdi s-line quattro but I want the later smooth bumpers front and rear (rear needs parking sensor holes)
Its not a bad spec car, but not brimming, Bose, Cruise Control, Parking Sensors, MFSW, Half Leather, centres are the type fabric, not alcantara.
