It's days like this:

P1020038 pre wash

You're happy you'd: a) waxed the car as much as you did, b) purchased a decent pressure washer, and c) invested in a de-ionised water filter:

10-minutes max....:arco:

Hi Ben yeah never got round to trying Werkstatt tbh ,itching to try a glass sealant next ,leaves the paint nice and sharp ,exo and c1 gtechniq ..

Using sonax bsd which is pretty good tbh ...

Im a GTtechniq convert. As much as i liked giving my cars a coat of Swissvax wax, the C1 and Exo v2 combo coatings offer something else, and make it redundant.

The previous owner, went to town on it.

With respect to glass sealants, they applied :

- G1 applied to the front windscreen.
- Car Lack 68 Glass Sealant applied to all windows, except the windscreen.

While I didnt apply it, I can still recommend it. Im not aware of why they chose 2 different products though.

Veneeringman has yours had paintwork done on the wing or is that the light catching it odd?

There's always one looking for faults isn't there !?!

No it hasn't had any paintwork ANYWHERE.......

This however has had the front & rear bumpers done (stonechips on front & peeling Lacquer on the rear)......

The same guy has offered to do the RS 3 as when he inspected it before i bought it his only comment was, "bonnet has some chips, i can make it perfect again" however i have resisted having it done, as we all know stonechips are a constant battle.............

He did comment that the Carbon fibre wings will always look a slightly different colour to rest of the car.

I've had em colour coded to match the EBC redstuff pads.......

Oh sorry I've forgot you can't fit em can you, so you won't know what they look like.

Maybe one day when you figure out how to remove a wheel, you'll appreciate what goes on behind them, that's if your not too busy 'spinning all four wheels'.

doing manual work just cuts down on your pron surfing time

i was just interested if it was just a trick of the light/camera or if that's the press car with the miss matched black and silver trim that had its side ripped off

a serious question thou, would the wings have been painted with the car in the factory or would they have been painted in the TT factory when they where converted to RS's?

Dave, c'mon; I can't believe you're serious. Maybe you're just taking the pi**; then again, maybe you're not?

These RS3 cars had carbon fibre front wings and it is that that reflects somewhat differently. You obviously DO NOT understand the manufacturing process of a modern day motor car.

Do you have an RS3, Dave? Over the last couple of years some of us do wonder! However, if you do have access to an RS3 then get it to a professional body shop and get someone to look at your front wings and if he knows his stuff he'll be saying "these are carbon fibre", Dave, and the doors and bonnet are mild steel.

You do need to understand the Audi RS3 some; you've had at least 3-years now, if you have an RS3 that is...

Maybe it's just the back-end slide out stuff your after? Seriously cool on a road car is that, Dave. Maybe you're a BMW man at heart? You're preference of a 4-wheel spinning/sliding RS3 has not gone un-noticed, tsk.

You do seem to have issues with the 'original' RS3 i.e., that it doesn't suit your driving style; maybe it was the wrong choice for you. How many engines are you on now? How many sets of brakes... tyres?

There are some out there/here that have actually 'purchased' their RS3 and just love 'em for what they are. Some seem to want more than an RS3 and should just go buy something else. Others will have rented, and I guess there's a fair number of those; and will be salivating over the new one by now; an additional £1.50 a day maybe, and will no doubt be ragging it off from day one.

So, as you say, Dave; let's get serious here...

Maybe it is a camera trick / shadow of the garage / sunny day ............... so what ?? it's just one proud owner joining other proud owners showing off the car in all its 'just cleaned' glory

Far too many on here seem eager to find something to gripe about.

No John its Werkstatt Acrylic System, unfortunatley its no longer available{luckily I've still got some left},its so easy to use its not temperature dependant and doesn't stain the rubbers or trim.Polished Bliss were the only UK stockist

They are the people I ahve been using for nearly 7 years now! Always feel that can ring them for advice and they always been right so far !! They recommended the Werkstatt for my Evo VIII - said it was good for lighter colours and Japanese paint(and I still have some left too !!)
