Hi all, having a bit of a problem for the last couple of days, when I slow down for a junction or the like, the car drops it's revs and dies.
I've checked with Audi and it hasn't had the coil pack replaced under warranty, or had the ECU upgraded.
I was thinking maybe the throttle body could do with cleaning as well.
When it dies, it is stinking of petrol but runs ok afterwards.
The EML has also just come on today.
Any hints...?

I had the exact same problem on my 3.2 when my MAF was playing up. Carefully cleaning the MAF has sorted it, and hasn't been back since(touch wood).

Thanķs for the info, that's not something I'd thought about.
It will be going in to the garage to get a few minor jobs done but, I'll probably have a go at that myself.
;)

Definitely clean the throttle body as well. piece of cake.
I probably will, there seems to be plenty on youtube about it and it makes a big difference.

Just a thought, will I end up having to clear any codes if I start pulling thes parts off...?
If I will, then it will have to wait until Monday so I can grab the Ethos kit from work.
Cheers.

Eventually got around to doing this today, it was probably laziness on my part, plus I never get any peace to crack on with the things that need doing to the car.
Throttle body and inlet duct off, MAP sensor removed and all cleaned. (With the proper products). Took about a half hour and 10 mins to do a scan and clear the fault codes. I'm a happy bunny now.
I have the car booked in to Highland Audi on Tuesday, for the ECU upgrade and the replacement coil packs. It's going much better after today's attention, so we'll see what Tuesday brings.

Thanks for all the advice.
