She's coming to me on the 1st of March ( 15 plate ) and I'm so excited !!

I went for S3 Sportback in Brilliant Red - Manual Gearbox
Comfort Pack
Sat Nav
Privacy Glass

Great, let me be the first to congratulate you. Great choice of colour, Nice to see something other than Sepang.

I have a manual and just love it. At least the bad weather will mainly be gone. The waits a pain though......
 
Congratulations, you won't be disappointed...except with the stereo, which you will. I'm not bothered about stereos as a rule, but the standard stereo in my Fiat 500 is streets ahead, it's so bad I'm going to have to find an aftermarket route that will be more expensive and involve them ripping my car to pieces. LED headlights, mono.pur, tech pack, interior light pack are all expensive tinsel that you don't really need, but you must upgrade the stereo. I think I've made my point :)

Congratulations, there are a few of us waiting for March delivery...glad to see another proper driver going for a manual box :undwech:

PS: I see you went for the comfort pack! Just in case you have missed it, did you know that Parking System plus is only £250 extra if you have the comfort pack? It's normally £595 if bought on it's own! Basically you get sensors on the front of the car as well, plus a visual display on the mmi display rather than just audio warnings.

so agree with you over the stereo! wishing I'd added B+O but in hindsight I'm happy with what I ordered! no mono.pur b******s for me !
 
I did think about adding b&o but it's status 20 now and can't be changed. I did have a listen to the system in the standard a3, and whilst it does lack some punch, I dont think its that bad

What stereo you got in yours. Standard or *** ?
 
ordered *** when it gets here in march, like you I didn't go too crazy on the options as you can spend a lot I was up in the mid 3's (K) on options with my "limited" spec. Which dealer did you order from?

Sorry Craig, I wouldn't have p****d on your bonfire if I'd have known your order was locked. Hopefully you can cope with it. I'm going to do something about mine and I'll let you all know how I get on.
 
its fine mate, I'm sure it will be ok. There is the engine to listen to :)

If you could alter a status 20 order then i probably would.

Mine is coming from Bradford Audi
 
What date did you order? I ordered mine 5th dec I ve been given a date of 20th march. Hope I get mine 1st week of march.

Nice choice; mine is similar and I've had it 14 months now and I'm not dissapointed. But if I was buying again I would add the black pack and front parking sensors.
What colour interior did you choose?
 
Nice spec and colour. The SB suits red really well. :)

Only thing missing spec wise is mono.pur........:flush:

Have you got standard stereo in yours ? i went with Black fine nappa leather

Yes, but don't ask how good it is, as a couple of ear ops mean I can't tell the difference between OK and good sound - hence why I have the std stereo.

I had black fine nappa in my 8P S3 and I found it slippy and dark; which is why I went for alcantara and colour of luna silver. So far (14 months) there is no sign of it getting dirty.

Watch out for the rattling noise that's been reported cancelled my s3 order because of this I told the dealer I will keep the car but if the rattle noise appears I would be bringing back for a refund

Dealer didn't want to know so I cancelled my order it must say something that Audi are not prepared to honour warrantys

As soon as he said they would not allow me to change the car if fault occurred alarm bells had gone off

The dealer stated he had sold 30 s3 cars with only 1 with the fault.

The rattle noise is between 1500 revs and 3000 one guy on here said he had it from new and is getting louder and he has only covered 1000 miles now

40k car should not be have rattles

Hope your new purchase goes well I have had Audi tt for many years

No there is a thread about it which states that Audi have told dealerships not to correct the fault.

Totally missed that thread because I thought it was fixed with the clip. Not going to let it bother me though, I'm on my second 8v s3 and hopefully ordering my third anytime soon. No sign of rattle as yet.
