B6 Brake Upgrade

thanks!!

Im sure this has been covered before, but do you know if Leon Cupra R brakes will fit but using the discs from an S4. As they are the same size discs and also from looking appear easier to get hold of compared to the S4 setup.

OK cool, just looked at them and also found just caliper for a B7 2.0T at £280 so a full front and rear setup for £350 should be a bargain.

To fit the 320mm from the 2.0T B7 do you need the section of brake line that leads to the calipers from the B7, or do ours fit?

I'm running S5 Calipers and B6 S4 discs, best upgrade I've ever done

Sorry to burst your bubble but they are not even half as good as the later single piston calipers... Still better than the older 288/312mm brakes...

I had heard that but for what I paid for them and on the basis I'll be stepping up from 288s I would imagine I will notice quite a difference

I think you were better off with 312mm brakes, cheap and effective power upgrade with decent pads and discs for about 200 Bhp. For more stopping power then the 320mm and ATE hp2 calipers and good pads are good enough for 300 Bhp or there abouts. If you have a heavy car or in excess of 300 Bhp then the b7 rs4 is the next logical step for true plug and play upgrade. As with everything in life, stepping up a notch will cost more money so if you want to keep costs sensible then stopping at the 320mm brakes is the best value for money !

Does anyone know the answer to this?

There is someone selling a pair of these calipers local, but there are no brake hoses with them. If I buy them I would like to have everything I need to fit them before I've stripped one down to find out mine don't fit, as TPS isn't open at the weekend and I doubt they'll stock them on the shelf.

Vw touareg 4 and 6 pot brakes fit with a little modifying.

330 or 350disks. Dirt cheap on ebay and unbadged brembos as well

last set i picked up where £100 6 pot 350mm.
