I have been reading through old threads regarding hid kits blowing wiper motors on the 8p and found there is two options

1) well done hid conversion
2) do a full oe conversion with bi-xenon units and bulbs

i stumbled upon this company and sent a message to them and they 100% guarantee they will not blow the wiper motor and even give warranty assuring that the wont blow.

is it worth the risk and make sure they give writing to honor the warranty or say clear

Iv had the kit running in my car since the groupbuy finished from this forum.

Mine are great and i love them, plus they solved the high voltage cable problem so no risk of wiper motor problems!

And they are a very SMALL fraction of the price of a full oem bi conversion

Was that the from the link I've posted or the well done kit

Look like I'll go for that kit I just didn't know if anyone had success with the cheaper kits

If I had a £ for every company saying that I would be rich...

Companies claim to have HID 100% safe for the A3 but their clients most of the times claim something different.
None of this users got compensated by this companies, they had to pay for the new wiper motor themselves.

mines an 08 3door, wiper motor went bang with the HIDS4U ultimate kit which is advertised as guaranteed not to blow the wiper motor. I was given the relay kit by them which solved it but i eventually took them off and they offered me my money back and went back to halogens, too much of a problem every time i went to the dealers

i have had this problem, i bought the ultimate kit for the reason it said they were ok for use with the A3, which is renowned for having a sensetive wiper motor, mine blew and i had to buy a new one they wouldnt even look at it after they saw it had non audi hids. Supposedly the lights and wiper motor run on the same circuit and are sensetive as feck.

i took the HIDs off in the end and got offered my money back off hids4u as they werent fit for purpose, i still have the relay set for running them off the battery though, it doesnt give bulb out warnings as it still uses the standard bulb connections to supply the on/off signal to the relays which then take power from the battery

Didn't want to register on here because I don't drive an Audi and was only interested in this GB.
However, I felt I had to chip in with the recent discussions above...........

I am running a Well done OEM kit bought from the GB on VWVortex.
No problems what so ever.
I have put my name down for this GB only because I want to change the colour temperature of my existing bulbs.

I have also had a HIDS 4 U Ultimate kit in a previous car. It ran fine for a couple of years until it blew 2 wiper motors within a few months.
I have every faith in the Well Done kit.

I am very disappointed that the group buy thread was closed. I have heard nothing but good news about Welldone over the past 2 years. Some uninformed people on that thread had suggested HIDS4U kits, well I just want to make it clear that I used to have one of those top of the range HIDS4U kits and it blew my wiper motor 3 times. The harness they offer sucks as it causes a constant bulb out fault. I sent the harness back and got rid of the kit, as it was rubbish!

I do not understand why Welldone have been treated the way that they have been, sponsors already on this forum don't offer the same products!? Just my 2p.

Well done kit is then

Thanks for replys

Well most of the groupbuy bought the welldone a38p kit. And no1 has said they have had any problems so far, and while i was fitting mine dani's help was great.

Yea.... I'd go with some t8ups upgrade white lights if you've got halogens. Speaking from experience but I've been burned on this car and HIDs

Using Welldone HIDs for almost a year, happy with them. No problems at all, definitely recommend. Cheaper than OEM and works well !

Just wanted to add my 2 cents. I had previously blown 3 wiper motors on my car with HIDS4U kits.

After doing my own research I bought Welldone kit and it's been working perfectly ever since. The kit is high quality and the communication with Welldone has been very good.

I was going to say there is a new group buy, but I see that you are already there.
