Welcome to The Hulk

Perhaps I'm getting old too, but Audi's don't suit it in my opinion with the possible exception of the R8 and you don't see many of those in lairy colours, at least not up in this neck of the woods.

My Misano Red S3 Saloon will probably stand out in the sea of Black, White & Silver Audis up here.....hopefully ;)

Actually, there's an R8 V10 up here in a Rainbow Pearlescent finish that makes Chanillors car look like a standard factory colour.

Not seen that one.
Plenty blue, white, grey and black R8's though.

Wasn't sure at first, but actually the colour is growing on me! Will be interesting to see some shots in different light.

Advanced key is discreet enough to make car thieves do some ground work to find a car with advanced key. A car that colour screams "expensive/hi-spec" from 10 streets away, it may as well scream "expensive/hi-spec/steal me" and I will put money on you will become a victim of car crime long long long before me and my advanced key simply because that colour will attract both desired and undesired attention.

I think that's slightly harsh. No doubt there may be an element of truth in what you've written, but...

What is life's enjoyment for, if you can't choose and buy the things you like and desire, and have to always consider what some scumbag may or may not do to your possessions?

Sure, you have to balance up risk vs gain/enjoyment, but hey, life is not a dress rehearsal, and I'm ******** if I'm going to let thieving scum over-ridingly dictate my choices in life!

I thought I was the hulk??

If you were, you ain't anymore!

I don't like being negative, it's a lovely looking car, but how will that colour effect the re-sale value?

Of course, you may not be bothered by that which is fair enough :)

Not too bothered but everyone really wants max value come sales time. I don't think it will matter too much as plenty of people who do like something different, again its a "S" performance car so I think the market will be there. Not sure if it would sell for anymore though, the colour choice was totally for me and my enjoyment as unlike the other options there will be no return on it really.

Amazing, Awesome, Stunning. I really love that colour. Enjoy. Can you maybe go outside and if its not raining, put a hose on it so I can see the beading shots. Lol. :) x

I'll get some for you, considering it just the factory protection wax its pretty damn good lol.

It's a unique colour that's for sure, but you'll always find someone who will cream their knickers over it and willing to pay asking price when the car is sold

I know I've creamed mine, plenty of times hahahahah

Absolutely - it's not what you'd call offensive, so while it *might* not add much value on resale it certainly shouldn't harm it.

Agreed, could go either way. Will never see a ROI on the colour but again got it cause I love it.

Love the colour, will never be lost in a car park lol

Think if i ever get a s3 i want mine in imola yellow or the blue that comes on the special edition rs4, think its nogaro blue

No I won't, that's good me as I've got lost in the past lol. Mine due with smartphone there is no excuse for loosing your car. They are both great colours as well.

I like it

It is good to be individual and not follow the herd :thumbs up:

Cheers mate.

Mmmmh not for me. If I could afford it, I would go for Riviera Blue or even thIs darker green.View attachment 42646View attachment 42647

Riviera Blue is another awesome colour.

That is the one I saw, fell in love with the colour and then changed from Java Green to Porsche Viper Green.

By no means does the colour actually look like this, its the same colour but the camera of filter they used was horrific.

Agreed, it doesn't look the same colour as Challinor's?

Yer I know, never seen a colour look so different, really bad photogra

I'm liking that!
Much better than any of those greys or sepang...

The colour looks nice, i personally couldn't pull it off but i do have to agree at least you will be able to spot you car in the car park!

First thing I thought of when I saw it was TT Roadsport

Same colour, awesome.

:eek: Stunning Chall's! :cool::cool::cool:

Love it mate, absolutely love it! :thumbs up:

Wish I had the £2k+ for an exclusive/custom colour ...

Yes not cheap at 2.5K but colour is everything to me and I'm proper in love with it!

That is one amazing colour!!!

Just wow.....:D

Enjoy it!

Oh I will :p

What an amazing colour, not for me but I do appreciate it.
Don't park it in a field or you'll never find it again :hubbahubba:

But other than on a field it will stand out and attract attention, nice to see some one pick a colour for a new S3 that's not that damn blue.

Well done mate.

Cheers mate and don't think i'd loose it even in a field lol.

I like it a lot - but for the same reason I 'almost' specced Riviera blue - I just couldn't live with it day to day. :)

That's another great Porsche colour.
Is that the kraken from pirates of the carribean?! :jester:

On a side note; is your foot rest (next to the brake pedal) chrome or plain?

Plain, but I tend to rest my foot in the hole where the clutch pedal would be, more comfortable then the foot rest.

Wasn't sure at first, but actually the colour is growing on me! Will be interesting to see some shots in different light.

I'll get some more, just driving and playing with it too much atm!

Right guys, off again now do some miles! Thanks for all the comments and feedback, mainly positive which is nice.

Really not got it to show off and sorry if I was really excited and hyped it up loads but I truly love S3's and love this colour so much.

Anyone's who's seen me over the past few days can testify to the fact that I'm stupidly excited and really buzzing lol.

its different mate !!
good on you for having the baws, everyone is different, its quite striking tbh !

go and enjoy it !

Looks awesome. Just needs gold, black or white wheels to finish it off.

That is one heck of a colour. If I went for an alternative or custom colour I'd probably go for a nice British Racing Green, but, that was just an indulgence too far.

I like it, lots...

Conversely a car that colour will be extremely easy for the Police to spot if reported stolen!

Challinor's too... :D
Thanks mate, your RS3 was from Stafford wasn't it?

That's the exact one I saw that made my HAVE to get mine in that colour.

Don't think I could ever buy a custom colour without seeing it in the flesh first. Had such a close call with Java Green.

You cleaned the hulk yet then Chall's?

& if you have, where are pics?:D

Another vote for gold wheels...

You've already gone bold with the green, may as well go the whole hog!

It was only a 30s photochop so I won't be offended if you don't get them resprayed!

Kudos on the green though. I've always been a big fine of crazy colours on other people's cars but have always bottled it when it came to my own car.
