Has anyone else noticed how cheap fuel has been recently. As I live in central London and own a deisel A3 Im used to paying around 138.9 - 140.0 per litre. Today I paid 126.9 which is probably the lowest iv ever seen it. Just hoping it stays that low and doesn't sudenly shoot up.

Although fuel prices drop everywhere as I know, in my country prices became lower only by few cents :(

I pay between €153.9 - €154.9 in Ireland, hasn't moved in the last year really

Yeah fuel has come down a bit lately which does make a noticeable difference when filling up.
Still not cheap though!

When it gets to less than £1 per litre I'll consider that cheap.

It was still priced by the gallon when I started driving :)

Yeah little bit cheaper here but would be nice under a pound per litre

When you consider that the barrel of crude oil is about $50 then the fuel should be about 50-60 pence per liter no twice as much !

45p per litre i paid in 1989 ish iirc price war between a few supermarkets

noticed the other day there was only 2p per ltr difference with petrol and diesel

I paid 124.9 here in South Wales for petrol yesterday and had 10p off a litre with tesco so made it bit cheaper. I only do about 100 miles a week.

Want to watch that tesco fuel, dirty stuff as far as I'm concerned, I'd stick to Maxol, Esso or Texaco.

When I started riding a motor bike, the price was 76p for a GALLON!!!!

It was £1.15 a litre when I started driving...4 years ago

But yes it does seem to have come down a bit, I paid £1.33 for Unleaded V power yesterday.

I wouldn't consider it cheap... It's "cheaper". As it's been pointed out, a barrel of oil is much cheaper than it was 1 year ago. But the true price hasn't truly been reflected on the forecourt. I think it could go cheaper due to new/approved oil extraction methods.

I agree with that.
I went to DUBAI a month ago or so, now they have cheap fuel!! I think it's the equivalent of £15 to fill your car up there?!

I don't fill up there all the time. Just if Iv got 10p off a litre then will fill up a full tank to save a few £.

Most of the time I use Sainsburys or Texaco. All depends where I'm going and what I'm doing when I need to fill up.

Don't think tesco's is bad, In fact there ultimate 99ron is prob one of the best. Wouldn't use any others super market tho.

Jesus, there's some oldies in this thread :lick:

It does seem cheaper though recently, hopefully it'll keep going lower and lower.

The petrol station in my village is cheaper now because a brand new Supervalu shop/petrol station has been opened up at the other side of the village, the original garage wants to steal the customers back from the new garage and they are matching asda fuel price in the next town

When I started driving it was £1.46 for standard deisel, for me, £134.9 is cheap at the minute. Can put nitro+ in it for what I used to spend

Honestly can't say I've noticed it, then again my 3.2 does love a drink lol!

Hah, calm before the storm. With the instability in Iraq and Syria it will not be long before prices take a massive hike again.

Lowest I remember was £1.03 and that was 4 years ago when I started too, it's funny how diesel used to be cheaper until everyone started buying a diesel and now it's more expensive.

Government have you bent over with ur pants all the way down round your ankles unfortunately.

Still, at lease it's not as much as £4.50 for a PINT of lager

I can remember serving it in 1949 at 11d a gallon, that's less than 5p!

But wages were ~ £4 a week......

I saw a pic today that London is selling fuel cheaper than Harrogate which is way up north, wtf?!

But yea, it's cheap compared to some bottled water, let alone whiskey, which even for mass market like JD rubbish is like 25 quid a litre

The main supermarkets have announced another price drop on fuel from tomorrow.
Doesn't say how much but it's got to be 2-3p a litre

Just checked my local petrol station this morning but haven't notice a difference in price yet.

Just been to Asda with the wife's car and paid £126 for diesel
Not sure if that's with or without the latest drop

£4.50 a pint?! At my local it's just gone up to £3.50 a pint and they're getting people complaining left, right and centre!

Currently at about 119.7 around my way. According to the papers, it could fall to below a £1 soon!
