BW 29, 30, 31, 32

Glad to hear that no broken bones were encountered whilst skiing and perhaps you even managed to NOT think about your car for a day or so (yeah right he says!).
Looks like GL is still off East London - hope it hasn't had a mechanical problem! I'm sure not and it'll be on its way soon. My car has just over 800 miles on the clock now and I'm enjoying it immensely still. I had my first night drive on Wednesday and not only does the Interior Light pack look stunning but the Headlight Assist works well, coming up to full beam and then dipping automatically. My wife loves the car and is even trusting the ACC which if you knew my wife is a MAJOR achievement!
When I've done the first 1000 miles I'll do a running report (sorry, I don't mean to rub it in!).

You guessed it it one - Yeah right I said .... I actually was able to get WiFi for anbout 5 minutes a day, and the only priority was ship tracking, which I sometimes achieved, and sometimes not.
Glad to hear all those positive comments. I'm not sure what the Interior Light pack is (we don't have such an option, but maybe it's included - I hope so because I want it. At least I know I know I am getting the headlight assist because that comes with our Driver Assist pack.

I'm glad your wife likes the ACC, but what about everything else? And don't worry about rubbing it in .... grumble ... mumble... where is mine anyway .....

You got the S Performance Pack right Gandv, if so, the interior light pack is part of that.

From the looking at the tracking site, and how many cars are booked, it looks like they send around 133 Audis per boat, so that could be why some cars made it on the Faust, others the GL, the Tirranna and in my case, the Toscana when we all had BW29, and only a few days apart in terms of actual build date too.

No Longy I don't have the S Performance Pack; I wanted the electric seat controls and not the quilted look, so had the Mag ride, B&O and star wheels as independent options. However, I've just been searching the Australian brochure supplement and the "Interior Lighting Package" is included as standard equipment for all (it's listed on page 2 under Interior Features - General). Phew, I thought I'd missed out on something I'd like ....

The ship load information is interesting and would answer some of the queries. However in regard to getting onto Faust: - I looked back at cosmos3's comments, and he said he thought his order had been 26 but was told it was put back to week 29. I'm wondering if this was right and if he has confirmed his final build day yet. The other car I know that's on Faust is asgardloki's but he's said his build week was 26, and that would clearly be enough time, but a week 29 build????

Yes, I doubt he was a week 29 too, I looked at the schedule for the Faust, it arrived in Bremerhaven on the 23rd, so to get from Hungary to the dock in under a week seems way too quick.

My car was built on the 19/7, and arrived at the dock on the 30/7.

Did your Sedan go to Zeebrugge or Bremerhaven? A lot, including my SB have now been going to Zeebrugge in Belgium.

She always liked the car and is certainly not disappointed - she was just fed up with me talking about it! Now I've got it all is fine!

Excellent - So now you don't talk about it all .....................
No, now we don't talk! Only joking!

We're off to the pre-launch of the Mark 3 TT on Tuesday. No plans to change my TT but it'll be interesting to see it. Not sure about the Virtual Display as it's only visible to the driver and my wife is the sat nav programmer in our cars!

Gandv, the port at East London must be very busy, the Glorious Leader still doing laps just of the coast there.

It's extremely juvenile, but every time you mention that ship, all I can think of is KJI singing #I'm so Ronery, I'm so Ronery .........

I'll get my coat now.....

I know. It's so frustrating, I keep looking and it it's STILL out there. I know East London is a tiny port, but hasn't the ship there unloaded by now .......

Veeeight - just as well for me I'd not seen that clip until now ... hmmm .... - mind you it's all glospete's fault - he started it with that big picture of his Glorious Leader Kim .... but in my case Glorious Leader is music to my ears ... well most of the time, but not while it's mucking around going in circles. Yes here's your coat...

Schedule of East London:

Ships due in port
22/08/14 Progress Ace
23/08/14 Glorious Leader, Sincerity Ace
24/08/14 Frontier
29/08/14 Tirranna
30/08/14 Morning Crystal, Frontier

06/09/14 Toscana, Frontier

And looking at vessel finder against the "Progress Ace", it's doing laps too of the coast of East London, so it was due to dock on the 22/8, so there must be quite a backlog at that port.

Actually I recognise that shape of its' route around the sea off East London .... It's a old African bush message which says HELP US WE'VE BEEN HIJACKED.... PLEASE HELP. And the ransom demand is an S3 SB in Daytona Grey. Oh heck, just give it to them .....

Looking good - now all you need is some sunshine in order to go topless :(

It's a strange summer in Italy... We're experiencing a shortage of sun this year!! :(

But the temperature is fine, so the top is down don't matter how cloudy the sky is!!! :)

Looks like the GL is finally on its way to Freo.
Yes indeed. Left East London at 16:27 local time on the 26th, or just after midnight last night Australian EST (almost 22 hours ago). Looks like she's already about 200 km or so off the African coast, on the way to Australia - Yes. (But it's only doing about 14 knots - GL you can do better)

And the Tirranna appears to still be in the black spot off the east African Coast; hopefully due at Port Elizabeth on the 30 th.

I think "Glorious Leader you can do better" probably sums up everything that Kim Jong-un stands for. And your ship ....

For anyone that has an interest of the where abouts of the Toscana, looks like an un schedule stop, looks like they stopped in Brazil, Rio De Janeiro for some reason:

Yes, but I have added the right one to "my fleet" within my Marine Traffic app, so not sure why they have it just out of Rio De Janeiro where as VesselFinder has it Out of range in the North Atlantic Ocean.

It's funny "Marine Traffic" isn't doing well with Toscana, they even describe it as a Roll On / Roll Off Passenger ship as well as showing it's position as Rio. Looking at Fleetmon it correctly shows this one (Vehicle Carrier registered in UK) on its way down the South African coast - it also lists a lot of ships with Toscana as the name or part of the name, but none is shown as at Rio. Strange. Longy - Maybe your ship HAS been pirated after all?????? Or not.

Marine Traffic have been the best for Glorious Leader's locations so far (don't you love that term glospete - I know GL is your hero) and subscribing to their email service for "Alerts", has been the most accurate, and was the only one of the 4 trackers I'm using, that actually got the docking at East London (ZA) at the right time.

Only 1 whole week to go and she will be in my grasp!!!! She has been ready for 3 weeks and gagging to be delivered. Last week with the GTD....so will give her a few blasts this week as a goodbye gift from me.

Lucky you FishyFinger, only a week to go for your Daytona machine, even if the contract world conspired against you.

Mine is still in the middle of the Indian Ocean (hopefully it floats), and Longy's is still visiting South Africa (or Rio for a holiday).

I guess all of the UK BW 29-32 cars are delivered except for yours FF? Clearly Glospete is driving around in his new Audi and forgotten all about us lonely BW 29-32ers that are left.

Yep, glad you reminded me as I had completely forgotten about GL, Rio etc. I couldn't understand why anyone would need a Brazilian on their new car - mine arrived smooth and hairless anyway.
Do you have a latest date for the GL's arrival? I have arranged a few of my Australian friends to welcome it into port .....

Thank you Pete, that will be marvelous, however only one problem:

The cars now go to Wollongong instead of Sydney (actually Sydney harbour is no longer a shipping port at all - most things now go to Botany Bay, but not the cars they all go to Port Kembla) and Glorious is due there on the 15th. Darn - that must have cost you so much time and effort and all wasted. Never mind I'll pop into town and see them all - which day was that again? And mine certainly isn't going to Rio - but for Longy - well ........ hopefully Toscana arrives on the 28th.

See Glospete has had his Audi meal delivered and now that he is not hungry, he soon forgets those that are starving....hehehe

I have only a week to go and hope that those who are stilling awaiting delivery of their Audi meals on wheels do not starve for to long. I am happy to share when it arrives - as my mother always said " sharing is caring ".........man she was so wrong.....hehehe

I maybe one of the last for BW 29-32....great things come to those that wait....so this better be good!!!

Hope yours arrives quickly, safely and dry.

Yes Glospete, clearly well fed and off jaunting around the countryside while we Aussies are all at sea.

FF you must have yours by now too - is it today??? - what's happening?

Also Glospete's glorious leader is off doing whatever, while mine is due in Fremantle port today (8th), but is still out of range for the tracker sites. Hopefully my GL hasn't gone walkabout again and will arrive soon AND STAY ON TIME .....please ......

Makes one wonder why they even go there, being such a hold-up and two other SA ports close by.

Yay, not too much delay and going round in circles just of East London for the Toscana, it is going in to dock now, so pretty much on schedule still, and due in Port Kembla on the 28th of Sept. So close now!

You'll be pleased to know Gandv that the Glorious Leader is just of Freo, but looks like doing circles again.

Yes I've been watching it since it came into range (Marine Traffic was the first to pick it up at 13:30 AEST) and - what - it's heading off to the north to do some sight seeing at the moment - oh dear ...

Gandv sadly my lease company has made an error, well to be precise they have a complete balls up of the delivery by not informing the delears to deliver my A3 today as agreed. I now have to wait another week. Cannot put into words (well I can but they cannot be posted on this forum) what I told my lease company today. I am still boiling after my conversation with them this afternoon.
Not much I can do about it now but wait. So will keep you updated on the agreed delivery date and when it actually arrives

Regards

A very peed off FF

Oh my goodness - what a pain. You can't even watch your delivery ship going in circles whan it should be heading into Fremantle port, instead can you visit your dealer and at least have a look at your machine as the need occurs or to take photos?

And it takes them another week to do paperwork, by the sound of it .....

Sometimes in life there are times when everything seems to conspire against us doesn't it? And it sounds like one of those occasions for you FishyFinger. But a week is only 10,080 minutes or 604,800 seconds! Ah perhaps I'm not helping by saying that? Nah, the day will come round soon and then we expect mucho photos of the machine!
