Long delivery delays are certainly the norm from Audi these days but they're beginning to take the **** a bit here..

Same colour as mine (arrived in Grimsby today and expecting delivery early days September); will look awesome.
But if it's being built wk 50 why on earth is it taking 3 months to deliver? It only takes the ship 24 hours to get to the UK from Emden then max 2 weeks to the dealer..

Looks like you're right about delivery time. In Aberdeen Audi yesterday to hand over A3 and was advised that it could be here early January. As much as i want it now, i've asked them to hold it till 1st March.

I'm sick of looking at spec sheets so thought I would just ask the people with the motor! Can anyone tell me if the front windscreen is heated on the S3 Saloon? It doesn't state anywhere I can find that it's standard and there is no option for it either! Cheers

Short answer - No, its not heated

Further to my earlier grumbles about long delays (S3 Saloon ordered end November 2013 and still not here)..
My car was down for wk 31 build / 1st September delivery.
It was in fact built wk 31 and I've been tracking its arrival but when I rang them last week to arrange delivery the dealer hedged and hedged but has now admitted that in error they sold my car to someone else back in June and changed all the specification.. So although the order I have had in since last November was built wk 31 it turns out not to be my car any more, although they forgot to tell me that. This is ineptitude on an epic scale and who would believe an Audi dealer would be capable of it?

They realised back in July what they had done and immediately found another car due for wk 35 build and changed its specification into mine so it should now be built and on its way; delivery end September/early October, although they've made such a massive pig's ear of it so far I'm not holding my breath...

And incidentally they have loaned me (free) an Audi RS Q3 to drive until my car arrives, so at least they are aware of their responsibilities. Be very wary if you order a car from Bolton Audi!

I see your in a simular boat to me, not long had your A3 but going for an S3.

What made you do that?

That's what I wondered too.. Nothing would surprise me any more!

When you say S3 4-door I assume that's a saloon, otherwise you would have said '5-door'?
It is a great car, which is why I'm letting the dealer get away with it and haven't cancelled completely...

Just managed another £220 discount on my order

Decided to take off reversing camera and add SD sat nav. Asked if they would cover the difference and they said yes

Glad i went and did it before dealer got broken in to at weekend.

Received email confirmation that ours is production complete so on schedule for early November delivery

E-mailed dealer today to see about adding privacy glass. Was quoted and extra £15/month over my 48 month PCP

Was told its because the interest rates have gone up since Q3 so said to leave as is. Effectively £720 for tinted windows, no thanks Audi.
