I bought the springs from DPM performance from this site their the weitec 50/50 cost about £200. And the cups/perches cost me about £52 and that was from Audi.

Try Unicorn....good reviews on his work for custom mapping

I'll give um ago, I heard darkside are very good aswell but its just travelling, nothing seems to be close to me. Only ones I know of by me is the turkeys that come out to your house with a laptop.

Nice car fella, cant wait 2 start on mine (when I pick it up)

Very nice mate :icon_thumright: seeing yours makes me miss my old motor, if your looking at remapping I'd go to R-Tech up in Hinckley, nothing but good reviews :)

Great build thread in progress that your posting, car looks fantastic.
How did you modify your exhaust tips please?
Cheers
Dave

Nice car but what did you clean your exhaust tips with metal polish or wire wool ?

Just bought a cheap pair of 3" slash cut rolled In tips with clamps on the back, Cut my original tips off with an angle grinder and clamped the new tips on, if your going to buy a cheap one then make sure there stainless steel.

Hopefully gonna buy some 3.5" tips next and weld them on.

I got my RS4 grill from Audi......it was less than I saw on Ebay, (£ 212) but that was about 18 months ago, overall I like the look and style of what you have done, subtle but individual, nice work :arco:

It's been a while but been a little busy on the car this weekend after buying a few bits and bobs over the last couple of weeks.

I noticed alot of of the newer Audi's have a chrome surround on the fog lights these days and came up with an idea of wrapping mine in chrome. Not sure if its been done before but I thought it turned out very well for something that cost me less than £10.

If anyones interested in doing this then let me know and ill post up the link of the wrap i bought as it was good quality and very strechy with abit of heat.

I made a visit to TPS and collected these goodies yesterday

Rs4 anti roll bar along with new bolts brackets and rubbers etc.

RS4 filler plate

I also purchased a used RS4 grill last week

I'll post some pictures later of the RS4 grill and anti roll bar fitted abit later as i just got home from fitting them and need to load up the pics to photobucket.

Looks lovely that fella! Wish mine was an s line lol

My mate let me use 1 of the ramps at kwik fit as it would be easier than messing about with jacks on the drive.

old standard anti roll bar and the new rs4 one.

Then started on the grill

dismantled the grills as i wanted the chrome trim

This is the only photo i had as i was sticking the number plate onto the rs4 plate holder. Getting a free air-con refill while i was doing it.

I have been looking for months at different ways of getting the chrome on the fog light rings! I would love the link please. Genius!!

Here we go pal

750mm x 750mm Conform Chrome Silver Flexible Vinyl Wrap Film. Stretchable | eBay

That piece was big enough to wrap my grill surround and fog lights but I never wrapped the grill in the end. I think they do different sizes so have a look at his other items and see if you can get a sheet thats smaller. Or you could just go ahead and buy that one and if you mess up atleast you have plenty left to go at it again. I used a hair dryer on mine and it worked a treat.

any rub with the 9.5J alloys? im looking for some bbs for mine but not sure if 9.5 are going to be too wide, they look perfect on yours.

PS: any updates on the remap.

Looks great, love the seats and the wheels, cant beat a wee bit of stretch :D

This is a true example of how small changes make a big difference. I've very recently bought an A4 S-Line Saloon in silver and looking at yours I kind of wish I went for black instead. The only thing that put me off was every black A4 I went to look at was peppered with stone chips! Anyway, you've motivated me to start making some improvements to mine, just need to figure out where to start! Keep up the good work and keep us updated.

I just used autosol metal polish and a Scouring pad.

Just been out and bought Autosol Metal Polish - Is this all you used along with a scouring pad? I've been going at it for upwards of 45 minutes and not seeing a great difference yet. Is perseverance the key here?

They fit fine mate you will have to put a little stretch onit tho otherwise the tyre will hit the arch. I went for 225/40/18 on mine.

No remap as of yet. Cant seem to find anyone local who will do the map with egr/dpf delete along with a dyno test as I dont wana spend 300-400 quid and not know what figures the car is producing.

I sprayed meguiars wheel cleaner on mine let it soak for 5 mins then got some hot water in a bucket and sprayed some megs wheel cleaner in the bucket and used 1 of these out of the kitchen cupboard ....

Then I used autosol after. Didnt take long about 5 minute scrub on each tailpipe.

I did what you suggested, had to go to HELLfords to get the megs wheel cleaner, and I'm fairly happy with the results. I did struggle with just the scouring pad so I used a pointed wheel cleaner to get the hard to reach places. Didn't come up quite as well as yours did but I'm happy nonetheless. There are some marks that I couldn't seem to shift though, not sure if it was oxidisation or not, any suggestions? May end up replacing them in the future.

What exhaust tips have you got? diesel or the petrol pipes? I changed mine in the end just bought 2x 3" slash cut tips. Just got the angle grinder out and cut them off. Looking at getting 3.5" tips next tho but cant seem to find much.

You'll have to forgive my lack of mechanical knowledge haha! It's a diesel, and they're straight cut, and 2.5" I think? Just slightly annoys me that I've cleaned them up and they have marks/stains around the outside, don't get me wrong it's a massive improvement from what they looked like before because they clearly hadn't been cleaned before I'd bought it! Would you even get oxidisation on exhaust tips? I have it on my trim around my windows but I've read there's not a lot that can be done to fix that, is it the same case for exhaust tips? Sorry for all the questions you just seem to know your stuff!!

Haha I wish i knew my stuff but most of the knowledge I gained was searching on here, get other peoples idea's experience and knowledge. From what i know there isn't anything you can do with the window trims, Either get them sprayed or the cheaper option is to wrap them or use plastic dip from what I've read.

I'm not sure about the oxidization as i didn't get that problem but im sure there made from stainless steel. When you say straight cut have you got the straight tips or the facing down tips? is your diesel the 140 or 170?

Ill look into getting them sprayed then, I'd rather pay more and get a better quality finish if I'm honest. I have no idea what the stains are on the exhaust tips then, worst comes to worst ill just purchase some new tips. They're just the standard straight tips, they're not "facing down", just slightly tilted downwards. And it's the 140, I'm assuming yours is 170?

Just added a few little changes

rs4 fog grills

cut the mesh out

Then plastic welded it behind my ones

Purchased some 3.5" stainless steel slashed tips (older tips was 3")

Not took any photos of them on as i haven't had the time to wash the car.

Changed the door cards to leather, cant really see the difference in photo (phone camera quality)

Im now in the progress of fitting some S4 recaro's black leather with white alcantara folding rears to fit my solid back.

They was filthy so bought myself some alcantara cleaner and done a tester..

Time to be brave and start chopping away

I then had to get 2 threaded washers which a purchased from an avant

Top part is now ready

While i was there i needed the bottom corner hinge brackets which i cut out from the same avant

ready for welding

Fitted in for the time being hopefully getting my hands on a welder next weekend with abit of luck

Still need to give them a good clean through also bought a electric lint/fluff remover to shave off the worn edges on the front seats, heard a razor does it but don't want to take the chance.

I finally got myself a matching footrest for the pedals from audi cost me £41 delivered.

Purchased some carbon fibre interior trims

The Quattro badge has been replaced with the Sline badge. probably better as the car isn't a Quattro lol

I had to get my tracking sorted as the front inner tyres was bold so went in for a 4 wheel alignment

When we changed the tyres over i noticed there wasn't alot of thread going into the wheel hub and the bolts they supplied me wasn't very good i only put them on end of january and there covered in rust

Finally got round to cleaning my EGR valve as i noticed it was running a little rough when cold
