Poor Fuel Economy. Help Please

Hi I've got a 2000 A3 tdi 110hp non pd. The fuel economy is ****** awful 30mpg at best. Have got vag commander but not installed it yet. Car runs fine as far as I can tell no misfires or judders pulls okay for a 110 tdi.
Anyone got any ideas i was thinking cat. It's been serviced a couple of weeks ago all genuine filters and oil etc...

Dirty or faulty maf? Egr blocked/ intake manifold? Is there much black smoke?

faulty coolant sensnor.........non gens around £8 try that first very common failure
