Faulty Ignition Switch

Hi,

I've been doing some research on the web and think I've narrowed down my issue to a faulty ignition switch, however I was wondering if it could be something else. For the last few months the radio has been doing its own thing coming on and off pretty much as it wants. It switches off when driving along and when taking the key out the ignition it stays on. Its the standard radio and I thought it was something wrong with the radio. The doors are set to auto-lock themselves when I drive off and normally unlock when the key is removed, recently though this has stopped happening and I noticed last night when the key is removed the interior light no longer comes on. The interior light works fine when a door is opened or the car is unlocked etc. So it all seems to be pointing to things that should happen when the key is removed have all now stopped happening.

Have I answered my own question or is there something else it could be that I've missed?

Yep that's your igniction switch mate! Had the same prob with mine although mines the Audi nav unit had my switch changed under my audi warranty and sorted all the above problems!

Ok thanks, thought it was odd. Least its been narrowed down to one thing. Next step to get it fixed
