Just wondering on the above as mine is due its 1st service this month and I'm wondering. What the dealers are gonna want to hit me for price wise!? I'm thinking around (low side preferably!) of £150, and at that I'd like to think I could have a pollen filter popped In too possibly!

Does that sound realistic?, I'm thinking the oil & filter will be best part of £100, then obviously say 1hours labour charge!

I've always provided my own oil at Audi, they seem OK with this and helps me keep the cost down too as i have 2 x Audi A4's now mine and the Mrs. Mrs has the 2.0 tdi and i have the 3.0 tdi so the 3 litre needs 7.2 litres or something like that. Have a look around for oil, i have always used opie oils online, but Amazon seem to be just as good too. As per price all depend what service intervals you are on high or low, high is up to 20K low is 12K ish? I've found the 2 to be £150 or £250. i have both cars running on high, mean a service for the Mrs is ever 2 years not, just make sure you get the correct High Mileage oil. but as i do lots of miles mine is every 9 - 12 months :(

£250 - for an oil service!?, yikes!, take its that for the 3.0ltr then?

Not sure what mines on, think it must be low as I've only had it a year!

Yes, that's both actually, as i provide the oil it's a general service, but it is the 2 yearly one, as actually saves you money compared to yearly. Helps keep your car up to date with a FASH and the price isn't too bad compared to non Dealer service. have a shop around. Did you not get the first service included with your deal, i did :) seems like you have just missed out on the offer of 2 services for £299 was it too, for 2 litres and under, unless it is still around, would have been ok as makes both services £150 each, minor and major etc :(

Pollen and Air Filters are £12 (or less for cheap brand) each from EuroCarParts and are a 5 minute job to do both.

Audi once quoted me £55.00 to replace an Air Filter. I always tend to just go for a standard oil service and do the other bits myself. If you have a nice technician they'll normally leave the boxes un-ticked so you tick them afterwards.

I also only do brake fluid once every 3-4 years, not the 2 year cycle Audi suggest.

2 services for £299 is for cars over 3 years old I thought?
Fixed service £179 quid and ask for a pollen filter.
What miles you got Matt?

Audi charges around £300 for first service for oil and pollen filter. It's all for the audi stamp (actually just a computer record these days) and to keep them happy incase of warranty issues.

Audi fixed priced servicing as follows:

standard oil service £159
major service £329

Even cheaper now at £159.
Can't believe the difference for interim and major is an air filter(if needed), fuel filter, and for them to road test your car.
I wouldn't think you would need a major service at 7k?

It's just an oil service that's needed!, main service is still 380 days away according to screen in the car
