Firstly, matt finish

Audi S3 8V Matte Metallic Grey Vinyl Wrap
Audi S3 Matte Metallic Grey Vinyl Wrap
can't decide on this one, many will like, many won't.

Secondly, is it an S3? Then why has the owner removed the S3 badge replacing it with an A3 & TFSI badge? not sure on the rotors either, glad i didn't go for those in the end. Thoughts guys and girls?

Thirdly, anyone like to own up on this? anyone on here?

Vegas yellow, in a hot country maybe but under the dark grey of Britain dont think it will look nice imo.

From Gruyere country with retro livery, why is the number plate so small on the front yet normal size on the back?

Nardo Grey? I thought this colour was called Nimbus Grey?

What a awesome post ! I'm a massive fan of custom liveries / paint jobs.

Grey S3, presume it's a wrap - looks awesome, I've seen a similar A1 wrapped that colour, took some photos of it down at Dubs Mania.

After owning a Imola yellow S3 years ago I'm very keen to check out Vegas yellow. Dealer where I ordered my car has one in, definitely would not rule it out ( don't think that pics shows it in the best lighting though ).

Graphics on the white S3 I like reminds me of the competition line A1, not sure if I'd have it though - seen a RS6 with even cooler camo graphics.

Nardo grey, you were right first time, definitely different.

The java green S3 is in Germany, he was running winter wheels at the time.

I was going to order Nardo Grey on my S3. It's an awesome colour and pictures don't do it justice!

There's a Nardo Sportback on the Audi used site at the moment with the higher quality pictures.

Not a chance the second one is an S3. Mirrors aren't OEM (far too shiny), nor are the rotors (Audi don't make them like that, theirs are all anthracite coloured at the end bits).

The red S3 is ghastly IMHO. Each to their own but just looks chavvy and can't understand why you'd want to do that to a nice new S3 8V.

Rotors are the same as on the TTRS (either optional or earlier models?)

^ Yup, the TTRS OE Rotors (Code PQW) came with all Silver painted Rotors.

Rotors with painted arms (Colour code L8AU TITANOPTIK/GRANIT) with diamond cut tips and rims were an alternative option, and on Black Editions on other cars.

There was an Audi a3 saloon thats tuned by a german company - its white and had some unique wheels which looked looked. If i find it i'll post back here :)

I love the Nardo colour. Sure I've seen that on an RS6 first and fell in love with it.

The red S3 is :puke2:

Rather like the matt grey.

Black one is an S3 or a very good copy: has the correct bodykit and spoiler, and has the front air intakes. S3 calipers too.

Don't like the red; gold wheels are tacky and that interior is gash.

Not sure on the nardo grey, looks a bit like they forgot to put the paint on and just clearcoated the primer.

That's a spot on comment regarding the Nardo......it's better in the flesh and just looks "right" on the RS6 for whatever reason.

There's an RS6 in Stansted Audi in the same matt colour. Looks ****** awful IMO. Still, if you have a spare £100k then I suppose you may not care that much :sadlike:

I'm going to put it out there.............I like the red one! ;-). Only thing I'd change is the wheels to anthracite grey.

The RS6 in matt Daytona has been doing the rounds of the dealers. Saw it a while back at Birmingham Audi and it looks immense I must say. Really suits the car, far more so than on an A3.

It's interesting that the guy who modded the red A3/S3 went with Recaro CS Sporters (as found in the 8P S3 amongst other S and RS Audi's) instead of the 8V S3 "Super Sport" seats.

It's perhaps not to everyone's taste but certainly well executed.

Yer I was thinking that, I've got them in my S3 now all be in in the standard black.

It does look like one of those colours that work better in real life. I wasn't a fan of estoril blue in pictures, but was sold pretty much instantly in the flesh.

I love the Nardo Grey!!! However, I think that Red S3 with the Caramac interor is horrendous. Wheels too Gold, chassis too low! Interior vile!!

Don't like that Red S3 at all - looks like someone has done it for a joke! Also, why spend all that money on the car and not choose the Tech Pack?! Guess that gives him a small screen to go with his small..... sense of taste ;)

Ouch ! I can tell your not a fan lol.

Yer Tech Pack is a must in my opinion.

Oi oi! I got the small screen. You have utterly depressed me now.....:Flush:

Lol! Nothing wrong with the standard screen at all. Just seems odd to me that someone would go to all that effort to tart it up with a bigger sub etc, but not choose to get the bigger screen with the tech pack.

all that cutting and pasting for just one 'like' pfffft! wont bother next time ol, great opposing views guys keep em coming!

LOL. I do know exactly what you mean. It's just terrible. Just don't see the point of spending the money on it to make it look like that!

I see this all the time with expensive cars - people in £40k+ 5-series Beemers and E-class Mercs with a Tomtom or phone stuck to the windscreen. Seriously?! Couldn't you have sprung another grand or two for the factory option?

Obviously such cars are almost always leased but even on personal purchases it often makes sense to spec things like this if only to aid resale when the time comes. The more expensive the car, the more people will expect a certain level of equipment. Most people looking to buy a used S3 in a few years are going to be looking for one with the Tech Pack and it'll be a lot harder to sell without it.

An extreme example of this was someone I know who, years back, bought a three-door model of the first Land Rover Discovery because they had no need for rear doors and it was cheaper than the five-door. When the time came to sell it he literally couldn't give it away - no-one was interested in a three-door Disco and he lost a fortune dropping the sale price, way more than he saved in the first place. Land Rover stopped making the three-door shortly afterward because nobody wanted them :)

EDIT: I realise I'm probably going to end up offending anyone who hasn't specced the Tech Pack here and honestly that's not my intention, I just really don't see the logic of spending that much money on a car and then skimping on equipment/options but that's just my opinion I guess :)

You do make some good points there.

I didn't get the tech pack purely from point of view my car is for weekend fun and I just won't do the mileage to get the full use out of it. So waste of money, but it's a personal thing. I'll be handing mine back / trading it in at end of agreement so that probably won't factor in massively. I got burnt a few years ago on my MINC JCW - had the full tech pack etc but only got £300 extra come trade in and all in it was like £1,500 added on list price.

I know two people who are lucky enough to own a Ferrarri 458 and a Nissan GTR. Both use Tom Toms where they OEM nav's are just total rubbish......sometimes spending big £££ on the car doesn't mean the tech on it is any good.

I didn't spec the tech pack, waste of money for me, I find the smaller screen is more than adequate. I'm coming from a 2004 TT with a cassette deck  so the tech is already way way ahead of what I'm used to.

I use my car for pottering around town, and for weekend bursts/trip away, so far for most of the time my screen has been down.

I can plug my iPhone in for tunes, make and answer calls, what more do I really need, tweet on the go? I'd rather keep my eyes on the road and drive hehe :p

Having the ability to tweet/go on fb/read txt's/use google maps etc is a total waste for me, I had it on my JCW and never used it.

Each to their own though, if you like the tech then add it, I disagree that my car will be harder to sell without the tech pack, mind you I didn't spec Sat Nav either
