Just bought another A4 last week but a 170 this time. Today I noticed on idle the car is abit shaky (vibration) and the rev meter hunts up and down slightly.
Looking thru the history and it dosn't seem to have a injector recall, could that be the issue?

Its worth looking into, best thing to do is give your local Audi a call and quote the reg/chassis number and see if they will look into the injector recall.

Does the car have a DPF, if so could it be this causing the issue??

Maybe worth getting the car scanned as well if you can to see if there are any faults logged.

Where in Birmingham are you based?

I have a 170 and its the same when its cold and on idle its shaky untill its warm and mine has had the injector recall.

I forgot mention I had Diagnostic test done aswell and it came back no faults and I've had timing checked which was spot on.

Hi shortly after my DPF light came on, just took it down the motorway for a regen and its fine now. Im from west bromwich area mate

Our 2.0 140 TDI Jetta does this occasionally. It has no DPF but my local indie reckons the EGR valve is blocking up. I've been adding Millers Diesel Power Ecomax on fill ups and so far it seems to have gone away.
