Can someone give me a list, preferably with pictures, of the S3's colour and interior combo's?
I only need the leather options, none of this half and half rubbish.

Looking for an S3 but dont want a noggy one as I prefer subtle, I'm not sold on the silver, nor do I want a black car with black interior.

What does that leave me?

Ha yeah I'm not one for not saying exactly what I mean, I dont like the furry seat or two tone thing...

As for black, I'm not against a black car but dont want a black car with black interior, saying that if the right car comes up with black interior I'm guessing its 4 or so bolts and a set of wires to swap the seats over or I'm not far away from a place that does retrims etc so there is always that option..

Google images is an amazing place to get lost in dude :)

There was a Goodwood green one on the normal selling sites the other day if that's more your thing with full black interior?

Ha yeah Google probably works, since this is an Audi forum I figured quicker to ask here as I figured someone would of asked the same question before.

And yes, that green works for me, infact any of the colours that arent S3 specific would work as I'll debadge the car anyway as I have with my last few, means people are more likely to play if they dont know what you're packing ;)

Ok, had a look at the colours (from the gallery on here)

Ebony Black
Ming Blue
Santorin Blue
Mineral Grey
Goodwood Green

That'll do colour wise I think, are they the right ones for the 8L facelift ones?
Then its down to interior, black leather works in most places, not so sure about the light grey, whats that like for keeping clean, having had a poke through the forums a bit more I think I'd prefer the leather/alcantara over light grey leather, although I wouldnt want two colours that were too loud in the interior, perhaps black leather with a dark grey fabric..

Tbh I think you need to see what's on the market and take it from there buddy - go out and test drive and few different ones and see for yourself what works.

The colour combo's you could be thinking of may not even be available to buy and you could be waiting a while for an exact spec to come up.

Santorin Blue and Goodwood Green for example are quiet rare colours on the S3

Yeah I've only ever seen one green one on Autotrader so far in the month or so I've been looking.

Think I'll get the colour I want externally then look at a retrim or interior swap.
Is it just the front seats, rear bench and door cards that differ?

As for taking one out for a drive, the missus has a Mk1 TT 225, feels a bit flat on the power front but has given me enough of an experiance handling wise to make me think that its the right car for me, it'll need bigger brakes and a bit more poke though as I tihnk her TT has a boost leak. Also her TT is on 18's, how much difference does dropping to 17's make as I think hers is a bit harsh, nothing major but something that could be helped by losing an inch...

 for the interior the 4 door cards, rear bench and two Recaro seats are all that is changed.

Tbh the 1.8t is a pretty boring engine in stage tune....a remap is most definitely required to liven things up.

I'm on 17s at present - will be switching to 18s when the tyres I want are available.... I don't feel a huge amount of difference tbh.

S3s can come with either 17s or 18s as standard with 225/45/17 or 225/40/18 tyres fitted.

Reason I think theres a boost leak on hers is because there is no kick when the turbo kicks in its pretty linear and the induction/turbo noise doesnt sound right to me as it doesnt change pitch at the same rate as speed/revs, mate of mine had an S3 and said there was a kick in it when it went which is just missing from her TT completely, however, because its her car I'm not allowed to play with it and she took it to a garage for a service and they said it checked out fine...

As an info- santorini blue was a rare colour option in the early days but I have only ever seen it on pre-facelift examples.

P.S noggies rule :p

Santorin is lovely as is Ming blue in the flesh! What about Imola!!🚕 or red 🚗!!

Misano red and imola yellow were on my short list. Misano red is rare as rocking horse poo on a S3 and imola tended to be on older examples so were generally in poorer condition. And then a sweet noggy slapped me in the face and after I saw it in the flesh I was hooked. It's almost as good as a 205 GTi in Miami blue

I wouldn't mind a Casablanca White with blue and black interior tbh- would be very rare as it was only available for 6 months as a standard S3 colour.

Some interesting information regarding all the colours available on the S3 here, and another thread within.

Think my noggy is one of the very few pre-facelift S3s about, still not seen another in 5+ years :)

(205gti in Miami blue- great choice of car and colour)

Havent really compared in the interior revisions pre vs post facelift so thats not really an issue.
Other things to concider are 210 vs 225's as well, think there are 3 different engine codes, pre lift 210's then post lift 210's and the 225's!?

I'll pass on the black/yellow option, not my cup of bovril that one...

I dont dislike the noggy ones but I dont want a car that screams out woohoo S3, come have a go hence thinking ming blue, or mineral grey at this point are joint first, black 3rd.

Every time I spot your car in a photo Hoggy, I have to take a second look. It's the clone of my old 2003 ebony black S3, on 18's with Porsche big reds front and rears painted to match.

They're 18inch genuine rstt's mate that were optional on the S3

Well the other option is 2 sets of rims, one for daily driving and one set for show season, or change to some other 17" rim I like thats frm the Audi range same as I did on the Turbo, swapped the stock fanbaldes for the P1 Vectra GSi jobs..

There was the Tourmaline one as well, which was very nice and rare.
