Hi all,

Just wanted to share my purchase I agreed today with the following spec :)

A3 Sportback S Line 1.6TDI in Scuba Blue metallic

Comfort pack with park assist
B&O Sound System
Interior Light Pack
LED Headlights
Tyre pressure monitoring system
Alcantara Trim
Tech pack with Audi Connect

Anything I've missed?

Good deal in the end, dealer actually came just over Orangewheels by £200 and then threw in Lifeshine aswell!

Build week 14.

Went with 1.6TDI as prefer fuel economy and my existing Sport Sportback is fine engine wise. Tried a 2.0TDI and for me I wasn't overly fussed.

Good spec that, 2.0tdi is pretty good in fuel economy plus you have extra power.

The 1.6Tdi is a cracking little engine, have same one in a Golf (105). Easy to get 50+mpg.

I like my 1.6 TDI, but in an SE its fine, why someone would buy an s-line with a 1.6 TDI engine i don't understand.
Its like a sheep in wolfs clothing to me, buy an s-line but put a fast engine in it.........
Also you may have a s-line, but the 1.6 TDI engine will also give you the crossbeam rear suspension not multilink...

Partly agree, however I guess everyone specs them how they want.

For me I like the 1.6TDI and am more critical about fuel economy over performance. Will the 2.0 would be nicer I cannot justify the additional spend for something I'm not exstatic about.

Work in IT so love my gadgets though!

Judging by your engine choice you are not really wanting a sporty car.

Anything I've missed?
Have you test driven a car with 18inch alloys on sports suspension?

Have you watched or read many reviews of the new A3?

What car are you changing from? How may miles do you do? How good are the roads you drive on? Do you expect the A3 to be comfortable to drive?

I've got the same car, very similar spec, but in Daytona. It's a lovely car and the engine is excellent. I don't think the economy is quite as good as it perhaps should be when compared to the 2.0 TDI but hopefully that will improve over time, but it's very easy to get over 50 MPG everywhere. You just won't get near the dealer quoted figures.

Don't let that put you off though as it's a great car. Very low running costs and looks superb in the S-Line spec!

Nice Car and spec. :blackrs4:
But would take the small sat.nav and order the panorama sun roof instead or the 2.0TDI as the rear suspension is much better.

Nice spec - I'm with you on the gadgets. I'm veering toward a 2.0 but I would get more use out of fiddling with stuff while stuck in traffic than more poke on the rare bit of clear road

Have sent an email to the dealer seeing what deal they can conjure up if I upgrade to a 2.0 TDI. To be fair thats the last thing I have any doubt on, lets see what they can come up with!

Ask them about an S 3 while you are at it. Amazing pcp figures .
