Just been to see a VAG parts supplier to get details of the car for the sat nav update. It appears I have a Le Mans spec vehicle. But what does that really mean?.

Andi.

Basically S-Line with 19" Wheels, Heated Front Seats, Rear Parking Sensors and Interior Lighting Pack + some Le Mans badges and Metallic Paint

Interesting I have all those extras but no Le Mans badges!

Andi.

You'll find if you search that you aren't the only one who didn't get the badges on the facelift.

And they're no longer available from Audi I see. I did see one (pair I think) on ebay for £80 odd.

Cheers.

Andi.

On prefacelift cars they had 2x LeMans badges, one under each indicator on the wing.

On facelift cars they had 1x Le Mans badge below the engine size on the boot. There was a point where they weren't shipped with them due to the trim level being moved from Le Mans to S-Line Special Edition.

Back onto topic, Audi should know what nav system you have by the reg.

Ah, that may be it as I don't have the 3.0 either!

I've identified the Sat Nav map data as 2010, I'm just debating if a 2013 (2012 maps) would be much of an advantage. I might leave it until the system fails to get me somewhere although I would like 7 character postcodes.

When the car was ordered the original owner had the option of not having badges.

You'll never get 7 digit postcode in your car on the MMI.

I have a brand new one and one i took off my car for sale if your interested? :)

Make me a sensible offer and they are yours pal :)

Well, I paid £4.18 to get what appears to be the last one in the UK at an Audi dealer. I just need to confirm that I only need one on my model.

???

Why when you have s-line badges on the wings?

Have to say I hate the s-line badge, I just don't get it you can see the car has a body kit and and less said about the s-line suspension the better. For some strange reason my A6 had all it's rear badges removed and an s-line badge stuck on it which I have just removed. Would like to have s-line badge on the front removed and a quattro badge fitted.

I've got a copy of my build spec for the car and it has option E0A - No Special Edition and WB1 - LeMans Edition.

Any pics of the badges on a tailgate?

I've also given up on the Sat Nav until such time as the map fails to get me somewhere.

Andi.

It's actually below the A6 badge, apologies.

This pic is from MFGF.

Many thanks Chris, I've acquired one from Huntingdon Audi who were traced by a mate in the VAG trade parts business, last in the UK I think and all for £4.18 delivered!

Andi.

Keep it the 1 as it was designed to be :p

But looks well (biased of course :))

I removed all the badges from mine apart from the fixed one on the grille and the Audi rings obviously. It looks much cleaner without them cluttering up the boot lid - A6, 3.0, TDi, Le mans - all totally pointless in my opinion. I don't need to advertise the model and engine size of my car :)
