Hope it looks as good on mine with the Pano Sunroof in between the rails?I think the silver rails REALLY make the car.. i think without it its abit lost in the looks.

I have the pano roof on my 8P in Ibis White but didn't spec it on the new car as wanted the grey and thought it looked lost on the grey, the roof was the wife's idea and she uses it but for me it was just for show with the contrasting white and black as the roof was completely black but now it only goes half way across the roof.
That is one h*** of a long wait 6 months, any reason for the longest wait ever?
Just took ages to get a build date of build week 4. Its been a long time coming but this last week has really felt like a decade!

Just received an email from my dealer, I was build week 8, and he's just informed me that my car is at the port in Germany awaiting shipping! So let's see how long this takes now!
Not quite the longest. I'll buy the drinks for anyone who has waited longer than 24 June 2013!
Crazy thing is part of me is glad I did. Grief, at times the conversation on here can be sad, but often informative and even funny. Anticipation is not all bad. Thanks to Audi-sport.net for keeping many of us semi-sane. (She may say different) I will be a regular visitor even after I get the keys!
I was told none available yet and massively on back order. Same goes for my rubber floor matts.

iPhone 5 (lightning ) connector is on back order I think, so I've asked for a red collar standard iPod/iPhone cable and I'll use an apple adapter.
Floor mats - that's odd, I asked my dealer to throw some in for me and he got them next day (sportback, all 4 mats)

OMG it's getting close now!!!
I used Blue collar adapter for old iPod Classic which I'll leave in car for music. IPhone 5 links via BT. What's the red collar ?

Red collar for video from everything I've read. And album art etc, although I'll mostly be using an SD card I think or Bluetooth streaming

I asked Mark about cables and he said I would get them on the day but seemed a bit wooly about iPhone 5.... Might have to collaborate on that one tomorrow!!!
I also asked for a boot liner but was quoted a price.... Might have to tell them if you are having free mats then I want me too!!!!

I wanted rubber mats due to our regular trips to Cornwall and the sand in the footwells issue.
I suppose Robo it just depends on the deal done and what there is left in the pot to play with. You probably drove a harder bargain than me on the car!!
I just don't think the iPhone 5 cable is generally available in stock so I am fully expecting to get the red standard iPhone cable so will be taking a apple converter with me in my pocket.
Couple that with the apparent multiple variants of the new lightning cable (with/without video etc) at least we know the red collar standard one works with an adaptor.

That is not true Dave. Anyone on here can probably date most cars with PPs by their specification and quite frankly why is a pp an advantage unless you are embarassed or excited by having a car of a particular age. I just can't be a***d.

I agree most people on this forum would know the difference, but the average member of the public probably cannot tell one A3 model from another let alone how old they are especially in my case as there all the same colour!!
I buy my cars on 1 March solely for financial reasons as it is the most cost effective. Some may argue but it works for me.
As for having a new Registration number I don't care at all and wish we could be like the French and not have the 13/63/14/64 silliness.
However I still see no point whatsoever in trying to hide my car's age or wave it about in a 'mine's newer than yours' way.

I agree. I'm not in the least interested in having a new car on the 1 March or 1 September but I am quite happy to accept it means something to some.
For all those collecting your nice new A3s tonight or tomorrow enjoy having a new car and enjoy driving it. Looks like the weather may even be kind. Mine won't be hear for another month or so but I will enjoy it when it arrives. Have a great day
