Since we seem to be engaged in an all-out light war out there, has anyone tried the Cree (LED) H7 replacements that are now widely available ?

Are they UK road legal do you know ?

One led lamp will not give anywhere the same light output of std halogen or xenon lamp.

I seriously doubt it, strictly speaking, but there are so many HID kits about that are obviously getting through MOT despite contravening Construction and Use and almost certainly MOT too, that I guess they'd be in the same boat.

I've got the Cree h7 sidelights, do these come has headlights also? I've got h7 halogen bulbs, although none of this has been installed just yet.

H7 is the type of base - as far as I know, they are only used in headlights and fog lights. You can certainly get LED h7 lamps - I have no idea if they are any good (hence this thread) and they are almost certainly not road legal -

Ah I see, we'll have to wait and see if anyones used them as headlights in that case.

I have been looking at these also , I wonder if they give a good beam patern and output and if they blow the wiper or not as the ones ive seen seem to come with ballasts like hid do?
